There is a difference between girls liking guy anime and guys liking girl anime.

First of all my favorite anime/maga of all time, Full Metal Alchemist, is written by a girl. Allow me explain more specifically.

A girl walks into a store and rents Mission Impossible with Tom Cruise. It`s a guy movie, but girls think the main character is "cute" so they watch it. Do they seem weird? No.

A guy walks into a store and rents "The Sweetest Thing" with Cameron Diaz. Sure Cameron Diaz is "cute" but a guy looks a lot weirder picking up this movie.

If my point is pathetically stupid then I will just assume fetal position.

PS: You`re right MSP. You are a manly man. I`ve seen huge macho guys that chop down tress with a bunny avatar.

Just playin` man. No hard feelins, yo? ;)

But what if the girl is renting Mission Impossible because she likes action movies. It might be weird, but that doesn't mean she shouldn't watch it.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I forgot to add that sorry.

Alot of girls like action movies and that actually isn`t weird. But a guy watching "The Sweetest Thing" for the plot and not CD is weird.

Do you understand what I mean?

Well some guys are more in touch with their emotion you know?

Dispite full moon being a "girly girl anime" It had an amazing plot and storyline. Just with romantic elements and stuff. See I like plot, more than flashy action and animation. That's why I enjoy Monster and azumanga daioh and full moon wo sagashite

Faruba actually gets pretty dark in the later volumes Dincht. I mean my favorite anime is Now And Then, Here And There...Which is probably one of the most dramatic and emotionally brutal series. Not to mention just plain brutal violence wise at moments. Well anyway I can still say that I enjoy Fruits Basket. It's a heartwarming and at times heartwrenching story.

Anyway I love dark and disturbing series...But I also like shoujo and chick flicks...There really isn't anything wrong with it. There are a lot of awesome "girly" stories.
