Okay, i dont know how to do a SPOILERS box, but seeing how no one has posted on here for almost a month and i now have bought and read volume 7 of Tsubasa, and this place needs updating, i'm going to discuss it, so if you have not read it, you can choose to read this post if you dont mind spoilers.
SPOILERS STARTING
WOW was volume 7 amazing or what? i was convinced that Fai was really dead, until Sayoran died, which i knew they wouldn't really do. Also i feel stupid not being able to detect that their world was a virtual one. the npc's were so obviously not real conscious people i should have begun to pick up on it at once. They really did act like npc's from any rpg, and the oni attacking only oni hunters sounds was way too online rpg'ish.
It also seems that they may be close to finishing up, but then again, they may be no where near it. AND WILL SAKURA-CHAN EVER BE ABLE TO REMEMBER SAYORAN?!?!?!?!?!?!? It's so sad and frustrating! Especially since she often says the exact same or close to things she said to Sayoran when they were young. Volume 6 (or was it 5) made it obvious that she is falling in love with Sayoran again and knows that Sayoran was probably somebody close to her in her past. The fact that every time she remembers she gets knocked out is very frustrating!
Once again i was blown away by the art work. Can anyone find any pics on the internet and post them (i cant ever get imageshack or anything like it to work for me)? Also what did ya'll think and is it known how many volumes they plan to make or when the anime will come over here?

Thanks for posting, Sparrowhawk! Yeah, the thread has kind of dwindled this last month, but it's always here for people to discuss Sakura/CLAMP-related things, even though they might have to dig for it a bit! 
Okay, I'm not sure on spoiler boxes either, so here's my attempt:

What I'm really curious about is the form in that tank? that the two (I'm guessing they're the villains) have. It looks like Shaoran. What if the Shaoran we know is only a copy, and that's the real one, or vice versa? Doesn't Shaoran's memory go back only so far (or is my memory failing me
)? It's interesting that Tsubasa has so much to do with the theme of memory, and how our memories become our reality or experiences--or do they? Is memory necessary for love, as between Sakura and Shaoran? Is Sakura's memory of Shaoran even important compared to the power of their love? A new love could spring up if they're destined for one another, even if Sakura never remembers her past with Shaoran. It's like love overcoming death in reincarnation-based stories. Loss of memory of someone is almost like losing them then starting over with them.
And also, those two (the man and the girl) who seem to be Yuko's opposites, could they be the two vampires Seiishiro is searching for?

[spoiler] First off, I have a theory. I think the world with Fairy Park (Edonis was it?) could be the same world that Clover takes place in. In that manga the main characters visit a "Fairy Park" that has been destroyed and abandonded. Maybe we saw it's destruction in volume 7 of Tsubasa ^^. Of course it could just be yet another world like the one where they met Chun Hyang, a world with some similarities to CLAMP mangas, but still seperate.
I can say with some certainty that the man and woman who keep showing up are not the vampires Seishiro is searching for. I know this for two reasons, 1. I know the name of the old looking man (But I won't reveal THAT yet ^^, since it would be a big spoiler) and 2. One of the vampires Seishiro is looking for is named Subaru, and he said that they are twins. And Spiritsword, I do not believe that memories are necessary in this case for Sayoran (why do i always spell this differently from everyone?) and Sakura. Quite simply because, as Sayoran noticed at the world with the big lake and the miniature world living in it, Sakura is "still the same warm person". Because she is the same person, she is still attracted and likes the same qualities that Sayoran has. Sayoran still likes her for the same reason he always has: her determination to do what she can to help others.
When they were younger, it was Sayoran that lost his memory and Sakura watched out for him. Now, its the other way around, but Sakura is still showing the same concern and love for Sayoran. She is determined to remember who he is because she knows he was someone close and my guess is she suspects they loved each other. She is not as close as she once was to him (how can she be, you grow close to people by experiencing parts of life together and she doesn't remember those experiences) as is evindent by her calling him "kun" instead of considering herself close enough to just use his name. However, she is steadily getting close to him again, especially since she suspects she and he loved each other.
I just hope she eventually gains her memory of him back, because it pains her and Sayoran both: Her because she cannot remember someone she knows she was close too, and Sayoran because he sees her struggling to remember something he also wants her to remember but believes she never will, so he feels both of their pain. I wonder if Sakura gets a wish granted and is able to remember Sayoran. That is what i want!

As nice as it would be for Sakura and Syaoran to be able to get back to where they were before, as things stand now I don't think it's possible. Syaoran payed Yuuko with his relationship to Sakura, and as Fai said in volume 5 "A price once payed, cannot be returned". Any romantic feelings that Sakura develops for Syaoran will probably be instantly erased, just like what happened in volume 5. Unless CLAMP writes in some amazing out of left field plot-twist (which they have been known to do) that allows Syaoran and Sakura to somehow defy Yuuko and be in love again, I don't think it will happen.
And honestly, I'm not sure if I'd want them to. I think one of the appealing things about Tsubasa's story is that Syaoran loves Sakura so much that he's willing to give up their relationship in order to save her life, and he does, no turning back. Personally, I'm worried that having them, somehow, gain ALL of Sakura's memories back so she can love Syaoran again would cheapen the impact of Syaoran's sacrifice. It would be too much of a "Happily Ever After" fairy tale ending.

Wrong, the price he paid would be her memories of him. If they develop another relationship because of this experience they share together, Yuko would not be able to take that away because it would be a different relationship. It would be one based on the new events they shared together rather than their childhood and experiences as children. Therefore, the relationship will have changed some, and Yuko cannot take it.

Anime News Network reported that Funimation just informed some fansub groups that they should cease activities related to several series, including Tsubasa Chronicle!!!! Funimation got the Tsubasa license!!!!!!! NOOOOOO! I was hoping that Geneon would get it. Now we'll probably have to deal with a 24 disc release and Funi's usual cast of VA's. No hope for a Bang Zoom dub anymore. This also means it will probably be YEARS before we get to see season 2 and 3, since the fansubs will probably stop getting made now, and Funimation hasn't even "officially" announced the license yet, so it will be forever before the DVDs start coming out

Sounds like it may not be a done deal, yet. But on the upside, FUNimation has really been coming on strong of late and their work is improving. We can always hope for the best.

Supposedly, CLAMP plans for Tsubasa to be 150 chapters, which would work out to be 24 volumes O_O. Also, someone said that the reason X STILL hasn't been finished is because CLAMP is arguing with their publishers over the ending, that it's too violent or something.
24 volumes O_O, It will be forever before they all come out here, especially with Del Ray's pacing. chapter 100 was the last chapter released in Japan, so they only have about a year left before it's finished. And I hope the thing about X isn't true, if it is then it seems like a very real possiblilty that they may never finish the series at all. They have to finish it!!

I just boguiht Wish 1, but I'm not so sure I'll continue it. Even though they made certain characters female and some make there still seems to be some shonen ai in it... but I'm not sure.

It’s been licensed by FUNimation, which will probably be good. I think FUNimation has done a good job with their more recent releases.

Hi all.
I apologize for being gone and letting the Club go. And I'm not getting on here for any happy reason either, I'm afraid.
At present I just don't feel into CAA, I have no drive to be here, and probably won't be except to answer PM's.
This isn't a good-bye post, I may return and I'll probably check in every so often, but I'm afraid (unless someone else takes it over) that means no regular Club, until further notice. I'll certainly leave the thread here, so people can come looking for CLAMP discussion or updates, I just won't be on regularly.
So post away, and have fun!

Looks like I spoke too soon. I just watch the FUNimation release of Gunslinger Girl and Lucy Christian plays one of the characters in it. So I guess I still have hope.
