Inuyasha's certainly my favorite manga and I also like it as an anime.

oh great another Inuyasha thread </sarcasm>

I like the manga better than the anime, but that anime was really good up til the shinchinintai arc... after that it kinda went downhill...
MANGA IS STILL GOIN STRONG THOUGH!! Does anyone else on here read it btw??

I read it and am currently on volume 36. The story is much better when it comes straight from the pen of Rumiko Takahashi.

I enjoy both the anime and the manga(including the animanga).I think though
that I will be concentrating on the manga more once episode 167 is over and
the story continues from there.
Though I am interested in getting DVDs from each season including the opener
and finale plus all four movies.

Inuyasha is excellent. It's up with my all time favorites. I've only read the 1st volume of the manga, which was very good. I would buy more but I'm going to wait until I can get the Japanese version, because Viz did things with their release of it that I don't like, such as making it a left-to-right format, and changing the "sound effects" to English noises (at least ToukyouPop leaves that stuff alone).
I own the first "season" DVD box, and I really want the second "season" and the 3 movies. I'll be buying them as they come out. All I can say though is the better darn well make second series. I hear when the series is over,
Naraku is still undefeated
. How can you end it like that?
I'm almost finished with the current series. Just a couple eps to go. And even though it's been a really long series, it hasn't really felt that way. They develop the characters really well, and continue to think great new stories. Alot has happened. The animation and music are super, and the voice acting is some of the best I've ever heard. Yamaguchi Kappei's superb performance of Inuyasha has made him one of my all time favorite voice acters. I can't wait to start seeing Ranma 1/2. All of the Japanese voicers are perfect in their roles. All I can ask for now is a sequel series.

I love the Inuyasha anime as well as the manga. Too bad Cartoon Network won't be playing anymore of the new episodes on Saturday nights for awhile. Viz needs to hurry up and dub the rest of the remaining episodes! grrrrrr...I wonder how long thats gonna take? :shady: Umm...and yay for Sesshyyyyy!!! *plays with the fluff*

The series is continued in the manga after episode #167 so we will have to wait for them to get the rest of the manga translated. :thumb:

Why wait? Learn Japanese now! That was my attitude when I first discovered who many volumes of Inuyasha were yet to be translated. It turned out to be a good decision, e.g. the translation of Inuyasha vol. 7 is awful. It's not as implausible as it seems. Japanese is not a difficult language to learn: the difficult parts are memorizing the kanji and learning certain complex particles. Also, Inuyasha is a very easy comic to read in the original and there's a helpful translation site (Inuyasha - Sengoku o-Togi Zoushi) if you run into any difficult parts. I would say the hardest comics to read in the original are Full Metal Alchemist and Rurouni Kenshin.

*sigh* Yep so we're gonna be waiting a reallllllyyy loooong time. :waah!: Has anyone seen the 4th movie or heard anything about when it will be released in the US? I'm so tempted to buy all 167 episodes off ebay, and a lot of the sellers also include all 4 movies along with the episodes so it could definitely be worth it. ^_~
