Your Anime "Mascot"

Postby Wakarimashta! » Thu Nov 03, 2005 5:03 pm

Does anyone here think of an anime character as his\her personal "mascot" in life? A mascot usually refers to a symbol or something that brings good luck to an individual or team (though that last definition could be put loosely in this case).

I guess my own mascot would be Tomo Takino from Azumanga Daioh. Somehow a lot of her antics remind me of myself sometimes and I can honestly relate to her in many ways.

Miroku cause i am him except I am not a perv
I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unknown to death
Nor known to life
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
Yet these hands shall never hold anything
So, as I pray, "Unlimited Blade Works"

In a way I relate to Excel in my life... always trying to get ahead in doing what I can. Instead things never go as I hoped with my incompetent plans and I end up a bit behind.

Amon from Witch Hunter Robin.

I don't remember how it started but it's now one of my nicknames, I guess you can say, at school.

In real life...Akane from Ranma 1/2. We're both sort of tomboys, prone to have hot tempers, and like the martial arts. Yet, still calm in some ways. That's the closest person I can think of.^^

(I have two.)

(One is Airisu Fearii. She is the faerie character I made for the wonderful Miss Mollie Cline, and now the we're expanding into a business, Airisu Fearii (Gasp! I don't have a nickname for her yet!) has become our mascot.)

(Two is Shio Kasai. Either she or her emblem is featured in my avatar. I can't really say why she's my mascot, because I haven't completely developed her character, but I know it'll pop up sometime.)

It is a cross between Khyron(robotech/Macross) and Gai Daigoji( martian Successor Nadesico). They are my fav. anime chars. ever!! Actually, when it all comes down to it, I would have to say Saber from Mobile Gunmech Zenosaber. If you've never heard og MGZ, that's no surprise, because it's a manga that I am working on. but it's really easy to relate to a character that you yourself create with your own personality traits in mind.
'listen to me, Grel, these constant failures have been causing me to lose face, and if you keep it up i shan't spare yours!" -Khyron the Destroyer

"why throw away your life so recklessly!"
"that's a question you should be asking yourself, megatron."

definitely Son Goku from Saiyuki. XD; We're both hyper, vaguely obnoxious, love to eat, and the "baby" in our circle of friends.

Me being the oddball, I have three;

Koushiro "Izzy" Izumi from Digimon: Brilliant with computers, curious, logical and gentle.

Daisuke "Davis" Motamiya from Digimon: Headstrong, loyal to his friends, and often the oddball in a group.

Scar from Fullmetal Alchemist - Deep in his faith, and quite contemplative.

I suppose mine would be Alphonse from Fullmetal Alchemist in several ways. We are somewhat alike (sans the metal-armor thing)

Ah, so you have an older brother who's about two feet shorter than you?

Piro from MegaTokyo. Except Piro can draw. But we both have the low-self-confidence-anime-fan-innocent-clueless thing going on.

Sesshoumaru, both of us are cold and dangerous when we are angry ( me, being that whoever ticked me off will wish for death ( especially with my cold heart and will not discern friend or foe, but will destroy either; if in my way)).

My animal anime mascot would definitely be Kirara from Inuyasha.
As far as human mascots I would have to say that the most likely
ones would be:
*Kagome from Inuyasha
*Flay from Gundam Seed
and even though I haven't seen it yet
*Ami/Sailor Mercury from Sailor Moon

Ah yes, Ami Mizuno was my official mascot in Junior High. Always the most studious and quiet person. But I suppose a lot of things have changed for me to have Tomo take her place.

Usagi.... *cough* except I don't cry THAT much as she did in the first season, and I don't do THAT bad in school and I can do SOME kinda of cooking and stuff... either than that... still we're quite similar in many other ways^^

oh... and well I guess I'm not a reincarnated princess/savior/messaiah :p
