No more Black Sox

Postby shooraijin » Thu Oct 27, 2005 5:55 am

My Cubbie friends are greatly enraged by the victory of the Black, er, White Sox. Admittedly I tend to favour the NL, so the Astros' performance was disasterous (but the White Sox had gone long without a Series victory, so I'm happy for them too).

Do any other Cubs fans need therapy? :)

I am a Baltimore fan. So after they shut out the Yankees and the Red Sox early this year, I was on top of the world. Then they lost like 18 games straight....yeah, its good I am a football fan.

Ah my dear shooraijin make peace not war and statement such as "Do any other Cubs fans need therapy?" may cause war instead of peace. Anyhow like my mother says someone had to win and this time it is White Sox's term and so that is that.

PLEASE DO BETTER NEXT YEAR, O's!!!!!!!!!!!

As for the White Sox, they did deserve to win after so many years.

I'm mainly a Yankees and Rangers fan, but I was really rooting for the Astros. It was their first Series appearence ever (I think).

Actually, the Cubs have won world series and championships, but the last one was in 1908.

And maybe I'm out there, but even as a die-hard Cubs fan I didn't mind seeing the Sox win a world series. I don't mind seeing a Chicago team win, and I'm confident enough in my Cub fandom to say so.

Now the Red Sox have won one, then the White Sox, who's next...? ;)

The only sox for which I cheer are red, but I had my chance last year.

I was in chicago this weekend, and everybody was really excited about the win. I got so see part of the parade from up in Sears tower. The tickertape made a very nice sparkle in the air.
