wondering

Does the passing of time
Make you wonder
Where does it go
Where are the times
When I hated you
Where are you now
Why do you still plague my mind

Does hungering soulless rest
Make you weep
Do you cry out for retribution
For justice
In a land
Where there is none

Aching
Burning for you
I wake at night and toss away my dreams
For moments
Only you are mine
Still
Time freezes in your eyes

Wait
Pause and listen
Hear my calls of
Love
For you only
Tear away the
Chains
Break the bars

Pass through
Wait for me
you're just a line in a song

i feel that this deserves some type of explanation...i posted this in my DA account first and then stuck it in here...i hope it isn't too negative...

love is painful...and during that time when you are heartbroken and yet hungering for more love...there is regret and pain and finally the realization that you can never escape love and its snares...and so this is a poem about that pain...not necessarily when you are in love...but rather when you are out of it...

So true, the game of love can be quite painful indeed. But I think the feeling is a part of life that most experience and relate too..

Nice poem.
