It's based on the original Japanese novel...I've never seen either version of the movie so I dunno how it's different. I was just wondering if anyone else had heard of the manga ^_^

A warning though-- this being The Ring, it's got some scary parts in it. Not for the kiddies.

ive seen it at the store and i just skipped around the manga and it freaked me out ! the ending is,,,,,,,, its freaky!! u feel like you r in the story @_@ AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAmy eyes!!!!!!!

I got to see Ringu at the cornerstone fest this past summer.... far and away better than the american one, and truly scary.

and Ringo Birthday just made me feel like I was losing my mind.... :drool:

I could be biased, since I saw the (American) Ring on "free with a college ID" night... so every frat guy and his girlfriend was there and screaming through the WHOLE THING.

ahem.
