I think the artbook collects artwork from the manga, OAV, movie, TV series, and random cool promotional artwork. So it's a lot of bang for my buck.
And I have yet to put any money aside for the new AMG movie UMD and DVD, limited edition TV series box, OAV re-release, and the next three AMG manga. Aaaaagh!
Nooooo! I'm not killing my book's spine to scan pictures! It's going for $30-ish on Ebay so it's not that expensive!
A couple of people have approached me and asked how I can reconcile a goddess with my faith in God. It's pretty simple. First off, it's just fantasy and I know how to tell the difference between that and reality. Second, Bell doesn't exactly fit the literal definition of a goddess because she doesn't demand worship, so there's no conflict of religion shere. Third, if anything, AMG has contained redeeming themes:
-as mentioned, love over material wealth
-good vs. evil and good always wins (well, so far)
-love is about a relationship, and sex is secondary (Urd gets it wrong)
-being faithful to one person despite temptation (*cough* PEORTH *COUGH*)
-everyone is special in their own way despite appearances (i.e. Bell teaching Hasegawa to cook)
-self-worth is not dependent on possessions or physical appearance
-people who show love to others are rewarded
There's a heckuva lot more but I have this paper on Chinese religion I have to write. Darn 2:30 PM class...
