Something I've seen pop up alot is about super-long series and fights that "drag" on. Unfortunately, this seems to be something my favorite anime, One Piece, is slightly guilty of. However, form what I've seen so far, when the fights go on for several episodes, there tends to a purpose in it instead of simply showing two characters charging up and shouting at each other a la DBZ.
I've yet to see the later episodes of this series, so I'm not sure how well that works out. For anyone who's seen them, does it follow the usual "dragging-ness" or does it actually manage to play out everything well? I really must now, especially if I plan on getting this entire series. XO
There is - however, I think the fact that the voice actors are chosen by the directors/creators of the original anime cuts down on this substantially. I've heard bad acting in subs and I'veheard bad acting in dubs, but I don't think the dub companies always know the intentions of the original creators.
So true...
