I heard that the reason Kenshin's last episodes won't be shown over here is because the next episodes can be offensive to Christians. Is this true?

It's weird, but I can see why it'd be offensive (I HAVE seen the episodes... they confused me.) Like, the main bad guy claims to be the son of man, and wants to kill all non christians... It's confusing. After that though, there's more episodes that are really cool. The last episode is TERRIBLE though. Half of it is looking at scenery...

I've heard of it, but really don't know much about it. I saw a Jesus Freak AMV with some clips from Kenshin, telling about Christian martyrs in the subtitles, and showing a bunch of people up on crucifixes. It looked interesting to me, and I would actually like to see it. From what I've heard, they did nothing to condescend Christians in any way. Quite the contrary actually is what I've heard.

The Christian arc is not offensive to Christians at all, I didn't think. It has some silly misrepresentations of the Christian faith but it's more in a way that lacks understanding of the Bible and Jesus Christ, not to be mocking of Christians. It's ignorance, more than insult. I enjoyed it, overall. I thought it was the best part of the third season.

The episodes are not really offensive as what others have said. The problem is, Kenshin is slated on Toomami and they are not going to touch those eps with a ten foot pole. If Kenshin was on AS, then they wouldn't have a problem with that.

The main reason why we haven't seen any of the other eps is, rating for Kenshin on Tooami were not good and they just don't want to waste time and money in to a show that is not giving them good ratings.

After watching the entire series, and those epsiodes...I'm kinda glad glad they aren't showing them on Toonami (they're horrible...kenshin fighting magic...ick)

Anyways, I don't find it offensive cause the backdrop of the Shimbara Arc is partially historical. There was a large persecution of Christians in the 1600's but I am not entirely sure if RK's Shougo Amakusa is linked to the Christian persecution then.

On the general subject of Kenshin, is it worth buying all 95 eps for around $60 US? Does it get tiresome? That's a ton of eps.

There are "kinda" 3 arcs in the last episodes of RK.

The first Arc is the Christian Arc which was decent. Next is the German Knight Arc which was...so so and then was the Feng Shui/Magic Arc was totally blew.

Yeah. I loved the two filler episodes after the Kyoto Arc where Sansouke gets a pet treasure hunting dog and Kenshin's "proposal" ::laughs::

No. The anime added other things so they never got around to the Revenge arc.

Which is only touched lightly upon in the Reflections OVA and the basis of Jinchu Arc in the Trust and Betrayal.

I am looking foward to reading the manga coming soon.
