What are some of the good ADV titles?

See, they don't get it. Why did Geneon license Trigun, Tenchi Muyo, Last Exile, Samurai Champloo, Serial Experiments Lain, et al.? They knew these shows were hits and would be good business. Bandai licensed their Gundams, Cowboy Bebop, s-CRY-ed, and Crest/Banner of the Stars, et al. for the same reason. Same thing with FUNimation. They all knew it was the best titles that got business, not the worst. You pick the titles you KNOW people will ENJOY! Then the viewers'll buy them.

And IMHO, I think it's too late - I've already got ADV marked as one of the worst out there.
AnimeHeretic wrote:Actually, sad as it is, ADV is one of the best distributors out there.. by default

AnimeHeretic wrote:Well, on a grade scale, I'd say ADV gets a D- to the F grade of the others... hence by default.
freerock1 wrote:In answer to the original question... They're probably licensing out the garbage because they're keeping the good stuff for the ADV-owned Anime Network.
rocklobster wrote:The problem with that philosophy is that newbies who can't get the Anime Network will think ADV only has terrible stuff and not want to try any of their good stuff. And they do have some: Blue Seed, Voices of a Distant Star, Samurai X: the Motion Picture. (But that's just what I've seen)

'nuff said.
