Well once upon a time there was a boy with a golden bat....thats all I'm going to say really....because the reason why he attacks would be a spoiler. You're gonna have to see the series yourself.

DUDE. Me too !

When I saw the commercials I was like> "eh... that doesn't look all that great..."

But I watched it anyway for lack of other things to do and the plot totally sucked me in. o_o

As far as content there is some suggestive things with one of the supposed victims. Ok maybe two. I dont remember. But... every episode you think you know whats going on so you make a theory. The next episode totally takes your theory outside and beats it to nonexistence. o_o Lol. To the point where you just kind of watch it and pretend you know whats going on. But it is addicting.

I've downloaded the first episode long time ago, but watching more episodes on Adultswim, it's looking really interesting. I'm really curious to see what happens. My advice is not to miss one episode... it'll be hard to get back on track because there is a lot that goes on... well for me at least :P

I started watching it and have got hooked on it. Only episode I was a little upset with was last night's. Three people, a elderly person, a young man and a young child who meet on the internet and form a pact to commit suicide together. I know that alot of this goes on in Japan but I hate the idea that it would cause someone to think about it after seeing it.
I had to run on a call where a child hung himself because he was having trouble with his grades in school. The family came home and found him in the foyler of their split level home.

I saw one episode (not the first), and was not at all impressed with it. However, I wouldn't presume to judge at this point, because in that one episode I really didn't understand the series premise, nor did I grasp anything in terms of what the creators intended. Therefore, I would still be somewhat interested in it, but it would have to prove itself to me.

I watched the first 4 episodes or so and I was wondering, is there much more sexual content? One episode with the multi-personality lady was a bit... much. What I'm asking is if it gets much worse than that.

I've watched about half of the episodes so far on AS. And not one right after the other so I've been a little confused... The animation looks really good, it's interesting, but yeah like someone else said don't miss an episode or you'll be even more loss than you normally would just watching it.
Actually at the 1st episode, the girl in the PC moniter actually had her breasts exposed. THe split personality episode, her chest was exposed at the beginning of the episode and a little nipple shot with the photo with that rockstar, and she showed her rear during one of the shower scenes...but honestly thats really about it, well thats all I know of...hehe ;)
I got hooked too! AT first I was like, this is bizarre. But then, I was like, but this is REALLy interesting! So now I'm watching.:D

"And I said: 'Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a poeple of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!' Then flew one of the seraphim to me, having in his hand a burning coal which he had taken with tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth, and said: 'Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin forgiven.' And I heard the voice of the Lord saying: 'Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?' Then I said, 'Here am I! Send me."

I actually got hooked on the show at an anime convention earlier this may, where I saw the last five or six episodes (Last Saturday's AS episode was the first whole one I saw). It's a good thing I read a lot about it in Newtype, otherwise I would have been pretty darn confused.

The whole content issue is pretty frusterating with this show, since it's so well made otherwise.

I agree, that episode kind of got under my skin a bit too... aside from one other episode:
Where this one guy spys on his daughter while getting undressed
The series doesn't seem to have much more sexual content. So as far as it doesn't get worse, I'll continue to watch it because the story line is just really interesting.

I'm digging PA. It's a very compelling (somewhat addictive) story, though it's more of a psychological thriller and won't be everyone's cup of tea.

As far as content, from what I understand there is some pretty R-rated stuff in the DVD version (specifically nudity), so if you don't want to see it you'll probably be best off watching the AS edit. I just hope that with the not-so-great ratings it will get another run. :(

Some of the subject material is sensitive and may bother some people, especially the episode agasfas referred to, though clearly the behavior is portrayed in a negative light.

I believe the reason we got hooked on the show is that it is a police mystery.
You have a person (Maybe a person) who is going around attacking people and for some reason they are some how connected to one another.
You have to watch what happens to see how it will end.

It's a bit like Serial Experiments Lain in that just when you think you really
understand what's going on they throw you a curb ball and you realize
that's not quite it.

I wouldn't exactly call it a police series since ALOT of characters play a major role EVEN the cops.

If you are not deterred by the sexual content, this has to be one of the most intelligently crafted anime that I have seen. I am really drawn in by the unpredictability of the plot and the odd perspective it gives you into the minds of the characters. I only wish it were a little less dark and depressing at some points.

i've been watching it faithfully, but I'm not going to anymore because of the content in it. I thought it would be pretty good, but almost every episode has some kind of disgusting content.
