A normal chess set has 32 pieces, but Kiseki is going to be 12 volumes and each one has three pieces, so there are 4 extra peices. One extra king and queen for each color

That makes sense. My brother and I were talking about how they were going to release chess peices since 32 is not a multiple of three. I also would have figured the second white queen would have been a main character from one of the series instead of the other queen's best friend. (Or am I missing something, here?)

Yeah, it surprised me a little that Tomoyo was the second white queen. Not a bad choice, but I thought the same, termyt. Perhaps Misaki? Hikaru makes too good a knight to pass that opportunity up. ^___^

I'm not planning on buying all the CLAMP no Kiseki vol.'s. I purchased the first since it focused on Sakura, and I saw a pic of the fourth with who looked like Misaki and Hikaru on the front. If so, that's my next must buy.

whoa, timeout, sorry everyone, not having internet at home makes it where i'm not up to date here. what manga is this with chess pieces?i love to play chess (i may be going to a tourney tonight), and i would at least like to look at this manga.

I really enjoyed the first volume, so Iâ€™ll be sure to read the rest, too. Iâ€™m even considering picking up xxxHolic since they kind of overlap and it looks good, too. (Anyone know how to pronounce xxxHolic?)

The chess pieces come with the CLAMP no kiseki series. CLAMP no kiseki is kind of a look back at CLAMPâ€™s history with each volume centering on a specific series. (For example, volume one was about Cardcaptor Sakura). There will be twelve volumes in all.

Cool, I finally saw the first 5 eps of Tsubasa Chronicle. Great so far, as I expected. My only concern is the movie. I hope it doesn't tie into the series too much because it will probably be harder to find a fansubbed camrip. I'll need to eventually start buying the manga, and once the series is licensed, I'll be right on it.

Thanks for the congrats on the quiz, Sparrowhawk. And thanks for making up the quiz too, I really appreciate it. For the time being there is not going to be a Sakura Card Masters quiz this month, as I am not planning a trivia contest either. What is everyone's opinion on this? Do people want to see it continue? I *will* get caught up on the cards and get those to past winners, but as for the future I'm not sure. This may just end up being a place to discuss Sakura and CLAMP and post pics, as there has not been a lot of participation in trivia and chats recently (and I have not been on much either--I'm not getting on anyone's case about not participating, believe me).

I rarely have the desire to get on CAA anymore period, but I can stop by here periodically if people need me to. And I may get reenergized in the future. My whole walk of faith has stagnated recently.

Oh, and to answer your question, termyt, I just pronounce it "X-holic".

Possibly, depending on what kind of response I get on this thread. How does everyone feel about it? It seems like there are a few who really enjoy them, but what about everyone else? Also, input from everyone, please. Are they too hard? I feel like I don't get a lot of participation, and if it's because they're too hard I definitely want to change that, if I continue them.

This should be a place to relax and enjoy common interests, not a place where you need to do any more work. I like participating in the quizzes, but take some time off. It's not like we can display our prizes right now, anyways.

Instead of an organized quiz with prizes each month, the members can run informal one for a while if they want. Just post a question or two for the benefit of the other members. Answers can be provided in PM's or, since there won't likely be any prizes awarded, spoilerized text.

Thatâ€™s my two cents, anyway.

I agree with Teymyt. Thisis supposed to be a place to have fun, not a job or anything. To tell the truth, I have so many hobbies that i sometimes stop participating in one for a while to do another, then again and again etc.

the quizzes could go either way, you could do a quarterly instead? or 2 a year? i dunno..... i have a hard time keeping up on CAA as well as here so I haven't participated in them recently..... its just fun like everyone says, so don't stress over it!

At least not in the forseeable future. This is a topic for a different thread/forum, but my participation in CAA in general is off and on recently.

I will hold the trivia contests intermittently. I think part of it is the cards not being displayed in the sigs. When that feature is back on I may reinstate them, or I may hold the contests without card prizes.

Does anybody know what CLAMP no Kiseki #4 is going to feature? The cover looked cool. What CLAMP series will be featured in it?

I didn't say so in your return thread, Kura, but I'm glad you're back. I recognize your avatar, but I can't quite place it - it's driving me crazy, but I'll figure it out.

CLAMP no kiseki four is supposed to feature Rayearth and Angelic Layer. I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks, termyt. Yeah, I am looking forward to volume 4 too. I don't plan on buying all of them but vol. 4 sounds like a must buy with those two series included!

As for the release date of volume 3--I saw July on one site I checked but August on another--so...I'm not certain, but it sounds like soon!

Hi Starfire1! Welcome! If you'd like to join our club all you need to do is ask! I'm glad you like the pictures. Are you a CLAMP fan in general, or just a Chobits fan?

Yep i think Chi is really cute too. Chobits is a great anime. ^_^

Yeah, it wasn't who I was thinking. Oh, well.

The date I have for CLAMP no Kiseki volume 3 is August 9, but I was able to pick up Volume 1 before the date I had, so who knows how good a date that is. I also don't know if that date would work across the pond.

Wow, I'm already more than halfway past X TV (watching vol. 6 of 8 tonight), and after I watch the CCS movie tonight, I'll be halfway through all of Cardcaptor Sakura. It's cool, but sad that it's all passing by so quickly. ><
