Alright, I'm going on a nine hour roadtrip, and I want an Anime to watch...
I can get most any boxset if it's relatively cheap. Anyone have any suggestions?

Depends on what type of anime you like and how cheap you are talking about. If you could let us know those two things we could probably help you more. Definately I think you could cover a 13 episode series with no problem.

The Magic Knight Rayearth Economy box is a steal at $39.95, with 20 episodes for the first season already out. Mind you that I originally had to pay $150 for this thing when it was first released, so you won't be disappointed getting this at the price (unless you already have it).

Oh, I forgot to mention Gun Parade March. It is only thirteen eps so it should be cheap. There is a review of it in the database as well.

Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. Giant Robo, all three DVDs are only about $10-$15 a piece, and the seven episodes range from 40 to 60 minutes each. Good stuff.
