There are no more heroes any more they all died in the night that the world fell into darknes; and good men are trampled down into the dirt never to be seen again. When an on-going and is turned into a anime and the creators of the anime, instead of waiting for the ending the mangaka intended, decide to just create some lame "What was it!?" ending. Argh!!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

2)Anime Unleashed running the same anime two months in a row
without end.
3)Adult Swim changing their Saturday schedule AGAINand bumping

Fanservice and the rest of that sexual crap.

Anti-God stuff, really bad words, and occult stuff.

Too many girls. (Who invented the harem genre? FEAR MY WRATH.)

There is probably more. ...

LOL, I agree with a lot of what you guys have already said. Fanservice is just...UGH, occultic stuff bugs me (I can handle magic as long as it's kept strictly fantasy and isn't occultic, but when it gets occultic, I don't watch), sexual themes, and nudity (I can handle the magical girl outfit changes, but not much else). Also, even though I watch DBZ (for nostalgia, of course! XD), the whole "Next time, on DRAGON BALL Z!!!" thing is a joke! I mean, the planet is supposed to blow up in 5 minutes, but Goku powers up his Ka-Me-Ha-Me-Ha attack for like, 6 eps! XD Also, I usually won't watch certain anime if I don't like the art style, or if I feel that it's been lazily animated. (i.e. One Piece and Gundam Seed, though I do watch Gundam because the storyline is good). Anyways, just a few of mine! ^_^

Nothing really irks me about anime.

Fan Service, a smuch as I dislike it, I do not mind it and will watch a show that has fan service in it (Fullmetal Panic, Love Hina, Negima, etc).

Occult stuff doesn't bother me unless it's boardline/over the border blasphemus (Hellsing or Evangelio does not bother me at all).

Violence...as long as guts aren't flying and it's just blood...even heads flying off...doesn't bother me (Samurai X Trust and Betrayal...one of my favs).

Cussing irks me but that's what subtitles are for ;)

When a character I like dies...I like him/her more. By eliminating a faved character (such as
Ryoji Kaji in Eva
...it makes the series more meangful to the viewer. Most of the characters that die...end up being some of the favs. At least that's how I react and others I have seen react.

Series that take a entire episode of "powering up"...drawing time right there.

Wait...the really only pet peeve is when they slaughter a character with a below average voice actor. There are some high calibur voice actors out there...why destroy a good character with a horrible one when you can make the character awesome by a excellent voice actor?

Well, I don't really like the art style of One Piece, and I can't stand how characters can go on screaming and whining for a really long time...(rembember the first ep? UGH! I watched it last week, and they did the same thing. XD). It also took Ruroken's spot on the air, and...well, that's reason enough for me not to like it! XD j/k. Anyways, it's just not my favorite show.

- fanservice. o_O Obviously.
- long talking interludes that interrupt the battle that will determine the fate of the universe. DBZ...I'm looking at you.
- harem anime. I mean no offence to those who like the genre, however I prefer to look at guys, not girls. ^^;
- overly cutesy, cheesy romance anime. >>; As some of you already know, I'd take shounen action over shoujo romance any day.
- repetitive exposition. As much as I love GetBackers and as much as I love Ban...goodness. Yes Ban, I know what the Jagan is. You've already explained it. Sixteen times.
- annoying main characters. >_>;

-Harem anime, due to the lack of any strong male characters
-Any plot that has to do with teenage vengeance (*yawwwn*)
-Female seiyuus doing ADULT male roles (effectively blacklisting 50% of all anime males...). Kenshin is an exception.
-Slow, long panning shots that do nothing but show you what the person looks like. Actually, this is OK in a pinch... but not if the person is someone we ALREADY KNOW!!!
-Transformation sequences of any kind. (Sailor Moon, anyone?)
-Ditto power up sequences (DBZ, I'm looking in your direction)

My anime pet peeves

1). Anime DVDs with less than 5 episodes per disc
2). Anime companies who release nice affordably priced box sets AFTER the series has already been released in full *kicks Geneon and Funi several times*
3). Animes that pull some contrived ending out of thin air, instead of waiting for the manga writers to finish the series *coughKare Kanocough*
4) OVA series that leave you hanging (Golden Boy, New Cutey Honey, etc.)
5). Animes where the main romance is never resolved (AKA almost every harem anime ever created)
6) Anime companies that don't subtitle the opening/ending songs or who don't provide romanji lyrics for singing along
7). The whole "volume 1 + an art box" trend the companies are doing now. -_-, such a rip-off, just release the series in a box set to start with!

I have a few myself:

1. Fanservice and girls have un- proportional bodies. For me it just gets annoying. More times then not, it can totally ruin series that had potential.

2. Ditzy characters who complain and whine. More then a few times, it just gets really annoying. Oh characters who are naive.

3. People randomly asking me questions while watching anime. I guess I could just add, random comments in too. Just be quite and ask/tell me after the episode... I just want to enjoy the episode :)

4. Milk-chan in general... Do I really have to explain this one? :)

5. Characters that you can't really tell whether they're male or female.

6. Anime that are episodic with little to no plot. If you make a series more then 3 episodes, make sure there is a plot that has an ending. For example: pokemon. Sorry don't mean to bash, but for me, it's the same everyweek. Pokemon battles that go on, with Team rocket always messing things up. There's always some kind of new "league" and new breed of pokemon. When will it end? It's annoying after awhile.

7. Characters with simliar sounding names. Some animes have a few characters that have similar sounding names and it sometimes confuses me :)

8. 3 episodes a dvd... do I need to say more?

9. Certain genres. The one guy living with many girls genre is out played... Be original. Tenchi is cool though :thumb:

1. Fanservice in excesive amounts: All it's doing is portraying women as sex objects rather than human beings.

2. Fanservice of under-age girls: Not only does it do the above, but it's just plain creepy.

3. Filler episodes: Do I really need to explain?

4. Characters walking around stating the obvious: Such as a vast majority of the dialoge in Inu Yasha.

LOL! Like HIMURA Kenshin and HIRUMA Gohei. Hiko SEIJUURO and Seta SOJIROU. Shishio MAKOTO and Kusanagi MOTOKO. Then there's SANOSUKE Sagara and SOSUKE Sagara, which is weird... LOL, that's pretty funny! XD

Fans of the Original Japanese and Subtitled versions who constantly whine
about the quality of the Dub. :shake:
If you don't LIKE the Dub you don't HAVE to watch it,but PLEASE don't ruin it for those of us who actually LIKE the Dub by incessantly whining about it.
It ain't mature to act like that.

Hmm, I guess my biggest pet peeve is when:

- Characters will have something really important with them, they lose it, or forget about it, and get distracted by filler episodes, and then realize it's gone,or remember their mission about 10 episodes later.

-Volumes with less than 4 episodes.
-Excessive fanservice
-The typical airhead girl
-The typical pervert guy
-Reused animation
-Bad songs that insist on being played 30 times in a series (Minmei's song in Robotech)
-Romance between highschool girls and much older men
-Plotholes
-Filler episodes
-Spoilerish episode previews
-Long still pauses
-Character that have to repeat whatever shocking thing that was just said 5 frickin times!

 I swear...next AX...you and me. Carton of eggs. Funimation booth. It'll be great.

And to add to the list of pet peeves (because I spend a lot of time complaining about these things):

- useless female characters who are just there to get in trouble/look cute. Mayura from MaLoki would be an example, though I've kinda warmed up to her.
- anime dubs where they can't even be bothered to pronounce things right. >>; I have nothing against good dubs, or dubs in general, but when you can't even pronounce the main character's name, there's SOMETHING wrong.
- when a character gets gender bent somewhere between the Japanese and the English version. I don't appreciate seeing my favorite boy characters turned into girls randomly and without reason.
- 4Kids. End of story.

I hate bad endings to a series you've spent the last year watching. And I don't mean "sad" endings, I mean BAD endings ... i.e. Big O or Wolf's Rain... endings that, in the last 60 seconds of the last episode, negate the whole show you've just watched 25 episodes of by making everything start all over again.

When the lead girl and guy character seem to yell each others names repeatedly...aka Inuyasha and Fushigi Yuugi. I mean it really helps you to learn the main characters names, but hearing Tamahome yell "MIAKAAAAAA!!" like 500 times can get a little annoying.

Hearing the phrase, "playtime is over!" or some variation of it in what?...like every other series, in the middle of a fight.

Anything that feeds the imaginations of rabid yaoi fangirls

Hey, I like that phrase! It reminds of Star Fox 64, the part where you fight the first boss in the game, and he keeps on saying that. Lol Man, that really brings me back to the days of yesteryear.
