Murphy's Laws Of Anime

Hehe... I've seen that happen to many of my other more artsy friends. I can't say I'm really interested in fanservice drawings, since there's an art to itself in executing 'good' fanart.... but I digress...

If you ever bump into another anime fan in a public place (mall, store, bank, etc.), you are likely to strike up a conversation with them as if you are old friends. (The "Whassup" Principle)

If at any point you attempt to say an anime is actually an intelligent story, the episode playing will be the one with the least plot, most explosions and most reused animations. (Law of BOOOOM! or, alternately, Law of DBZ)

Hey UC, wouldn't that law apply to just about anything? I've had that happen with sci-fi serials, sports events, and even dates.

Then I guess it's relegated to just a normal Murphy's Law, isn't it?

Uh, then let me get this straight: "If at any point you attempt to say [a date] is actually an intelligent [person], the [person] [you're dating] will be the one with the least [intelligence], most [emotional] explosions and most reused [conversational ability]."

If so, yikes! :o ;)

Well, shooraijin, are you speaking from experience, or are you as usual practicing your own [conversational ability]? Nevertheless, I'd say you're touching on another Murphyism, as there's a shred of truth in that.

I, uh, wouldn't care to comment. Besides, man, you said it first! ;)

THIS IS 90000% true!!!! Every anime I watch, my poor mother always comes in on the weird scenes!

These are very funny. Here's one: If there's a character you like (esp. if it's a stong, silent type/father figure/gentle, kind etc. character) they will usually either die or be the bad guy. (Law of Never Saw That Coming, but Really Should Have)

Actually... I can think of two characters right off the bat for this one. XD From Bleach and FMA.

Yeah, I was thinking of the Bleach character especially. Unfortunately this law always gets me. I always like the future bad/doomed characters! :bang: Oh well.
