*pulls a sword from its shealth. a dramatically beautifull ringing echoes throughout the room. all is silent.*
Long have you hunted me. Long have i eluded you. But no more.
Behold the sword of Elendil!
I dare you to challenge me with my might!
With God's defence, the Word of the Lord in my heart, and His praises on my lips, nothing shall defeat me!

Psoph turns into a Monket and scuttles under a virtual chair for cover. Grabs a Mike. Not Michael Jordan or Jackson, just your plain old everday microphone variety.
"...And Soras has double poked her nemesis in an undeniably brutal way... but, seething with indignant wrath (wrath, I say), Lost seems to be preparing for one limb-breaking poke of all time!"

Some of you may be wondering what happened to this thread. This post will explain.

But before I begin, let me initially apologize if I seem overly harsh. I don't think there's any way I will come out of this in a positive light.

In all honesty, I should have thrown this thread into Goof Off. But being a writer myself, I wanted you to get credit for so much story, and others to keep their posts that contained legitimate editing and commentary. Therefore, I decided to clean this thread. This took quite some time, as CAA's post edit function is quite slow and there was a lot of material to cover. I left in anything I thought looked like it took a fair amount of effort, but deleted anything off topic.

The bottom line: This isn't Goof Off. Keep this thread focused on the story. Tangents will be deleted. Also, all of you, please use the edit function instead of posting again.

Once more, I apologize if this seems harsh. This took me 30 minutes this morning, and in all honesty I couldn't afford to lose those minutes. When I'm tired my tact is significantly weakened, so this post may not be the most diplomatic.

Fair enough uc. I edit Lost's story and rarely went off topic, but I'm sorry for the times I did.

well then move it into the goof off. how do ya do that? i don't see what wrong so long as the story continues. if its really that big of a deal, move it somewhere else. it'd be hard to change the way its been going after all this time.

All right UC; thanks for all the effort you put in. I realise I might've been a big cause of most of the random tangents here, so I'll from now I'll just post regarding the story. Thank you again for all the time you spent on this. I really appreciate all the hard work you mods do.

Great chapter, LostChild! It seems to be adding another side to Limbar, which I like. Hmm... I wonder what dragon she will end up getting... and I'm interested to see what happens in the next chapter. For a title (of course I'm not 100% sure of what the chapter is about, so these might not work) how about... 'A Mother's Wish' 'The Journey into (put place name here)' 'Deeper into Dragons' or something like that?

Chapter 6:

The second or third night away from home, Kaylin had another dream vision.

Mariee was standing alone among a thin forest of trees. She was gazing off toward the horizon, yet it was not of the setting sun and her beautiful golden face that held Mariee’s attention.

She seemed young, maybe just a little short of her Coming of Age. Never before had Kaylin seen this woman that filled her dreams, at such ease with the world. There was no pain, no hiding, and no running. She was happy.

As Mariee held her gaze on the thing in the distance, Kaylin saw her joy turn to sorrow, and then to fear. The western sky darkened and a figure became faintly visible by a subtle glow. It solemnly proceeded to Mariee, carrying a small scroll bound by a red ribbon. What was inside it, Kaylin dare not guess for fear of it opening a Pandora Box; leading to the ill omen of an apocalypse to destroy the world.

Panting, Kaylin woke to the dying embers of the campfire crackling sadly as if they too had seen her ream. Gillias slept peacefully not far away, curled like a resting cat.

Someone was standing on the hilltop above their makeshift campsite, and Kaylin was that it was Limbar. The stars were untouched by the night mists that clung to the treetops and hillsides, and they shone brightly.

Hearing Kaylin stir, Limbar turned to her. “Sleep, Kayl9in. We have another long ride ahead of us.â€

Cool! That was great. One question though: "She was gazing off toward the horizon, yet it was not of the setting sun and her beautiful golden face that held Mariee’s attention." Do you mean "...not the setting sun but her beautiful golden face..."?

When Kaylin woke, she found Gillias had already started a fire, and Limbar was making the morning meal. The air was filled with the delicious scent of seasoned meats, and steamed vegetables. Her red eyes flashed orange in the morning light.

“Well, would you look at that, Gillias,â€
