Many others hate this show because they find a show making a big deal about spinning tops ridiculous, aside from the fact that the characters are unappealing and to some, annoying. To each his own, I guess.
Although he does get a new perspective by the last part of the first season(learning that friends are better than power), Kai practically stayed the same(as far as I can see), perhaps a bit more considerate of other people, but it doesn't amount to a big change. Guess he badly needs a mommy to take care of him, since he doesn't have one by far in the TV series, although I heard that clues of what may have happened to his parents were in the manga.

the beginning again. The last time Toon Disney aired it they stopped just as the
Revolution was going to play BEGA.And btw:is it ever explained why Tyson's
brother decides to go over to the Dark Side...er..I mean BEGA to begin with?
Can he not get along with his younger brother or was it because he realized
Tyson didn't need his help any more?

I guess I'm dreading to see what they do next!
Maybe the tournament just seemed like enough of an ending to me. Or I just need a break for a bit... I've been watching some other things lately. But in the past, I've enjoyed Beyblade a lot. I think I'm dreading to watch it in case it goes down hill or I find the ending silly or unbelieveable. :/
