Behold - the power of chainmail

Postby Haibane Shadsie » Sun Oct 26, 2003 9:42 pm

I updated my pages today. I thought that I might as well post one of the artworks I updated with, my best work from this time's update. I did this... one or two weeks ago, I don't remember.

Jairrus

He's a character from my novel. He happens to be dead throughout most of it. The first paragraphs of the first chapter are his death scene. Poor guy. Here he is, alive. I drew this with pilot-ball pen (I pencil sketched it first, then went over it with pen). I know his nose looks funny. It's supposed to. I just figured he had a hawk-nose.

Cool! I like the technique you used for the chain mail. It looks almost kinda like lichen or something...LOL Nice! :thumb:

BOOSTER: Hey, No.1! Where's my cake?!
SNIFIT 1: Booster, Sir! There's a 70% chance the object you're standing on is a cake.
BOOSTER: What? THIS thing's a cake?

You have the power to say anything you want, so why not say something positive?

(in response to an interview question "Do you have a pet peeve having to do with this biz?")
People who write below their abilities in order to crank out tons of books and make a buck. Especially Christian authors who do that. Outsiders judge us for it, and make fun of us for it, and it makes Jesus look bad. We of all artists on earth should be the most concerned with doing our best possible work at all times. We of all people should write with all our hearts, as if writing for the Lord and not for men.

Very cool picture... it reminds me of some of those DnD illustrations. The level of detail is really good.
