RIP:Gundam Seed Casualty List

Ok,since Gundam Seed has now ended I thought it be nice to have a little memorial to all those characters both Natural and Coordinator who didn't
make it.
I begin by dedicating this thread to the most misunderstood character from
the series the late and belamented:
FLAY ALLSTER.
Be free to add any of your favorite characters that might have also
died in the Natural/Coordinator War.

I would like to be more into this one, but I never got to see the whole series.
When we started watching it at my club meetings, the rest decided they didn't want to see the rest of.
When Cartoon Network started showing it Sat night at 10 PM, I thought I would to get to see it the whole series. NOPE! moved to way late at night when I would have to get my sleep to get up at 5:30 AM in the morning to go to work.
Well maybe I'll start buying the DVDs or wait till the whole series comes out in the series box.

The Le Cruset Squad Acadamy Class Casualties:

Nicol Amarfi - Nicol Was so innocent, and young, he shouldn't have died in war.

Miguel Arman - The blonde haired pilot who was voiced by none other than T.M. Revolution in the Japanese voice cast, The ace known as "Magic Bullet of Dusk" who because of damage to his customised mobile suit was forced to fight in a normal GINN and got his butt kicked by Kira in ep 2.

Rusty - The original ZAFT pilot that was intended to pilot Strike gundam, but gets shot by Murre Ramius in ep 1. Mainly because we never get to find out much about his character. (he's in the start of the special edition for a bit). The orange-haired pilot in the pic.

Yes Mu was awsome and its not cause I feel sorry for mirru I thought mu was cool he should of kept flying his mobile armor then he would of lived. And yes I had a felling he would die I just thought It would of happened a lot earlier.


"I told you I could make the impossible possible." That was one of the coolest lines ever in anime history. at least in the top 10

The Le Cruset Squad Acadamy Class Casualties:

Interesting but can anyone think of any non-anime live action show in
American Sci Fi where so many good characters are killed off so easily?
One of the differences between say Star Trek and Gundam Seed,and
Yar's death in STNG doesn't count as she came back as her daugther later on!

Yeah, Nicol was the pianist.

Sai was Flay's ex-boyfriend, and he's still alive at the end of the show. Your Thinking of Tolle (or Tohru) however it is spelled, Mirallia's boyfriend. He is killed by Athrun in Aegis while piloting the Sky Grasper.

It's hard to keep some of the less important characters apart.
I hope that CN runs Gundam Seed Destiny since we're into the second run of
GS,just to see what ultimately happens to Kira,Cagali,Athrun,Lacus,Murrue,
Mirallia and the others who survived the ending of GS.
Since Flay's dead in GSD I would have to say if I ever get to see it that Murrue
would have to be my favorite character in it followed by Kira,Cagali,Athrun and
Mirallia.

Destiny is cool, theres a whole new bunch of main characters in it. The Archangel crew etc. play a good part in it but alot of the stuff is the new characters (and Athrun). The new 'Main' char is a ZAFT pilot Shinn Asuka, who's family were killed in the attack on ORB by the EA. He was evacuated to PLANT and joined the ZAFT military.

sao saukra told me about Flay's death and how her ghost was able to see Kira for one last time and say how sorry she was for treating him the way she had.I missed seeing Phase 52,but from what she told me it must have been one of the most
bittersweet eps ever of any anime series.
Note:I forgot about Lacus when I was listing surviving characters from Seed who would be my faves in Destiny.
Further Note:Tabitha St. Germain also voiced Haro and Kira's mechanical parrot
besides Flay.

Phase 52? Theres only 50 episodes, i guess you mean 50. Or are ya talking about the 2nd part of the special edition... (i've only seen part 1 of the special edition & after phase, which is only a 5 min ep that bridges the gap for the SEED main characters into destiny)

Oh I enjoyed her death she was an evil twisted woman who was evil and twisted taking advantage of Kira by doing very naughty things to him when he was sad (if you know what I mean )

As a human I feel sorrow over her death. As a fan of Gundam Seed, I rejoice that she is gone. Kira is cool and I think he deserves a better girl like Lacus. One who won't take advantage of his (ocasional) emotional instability.

Flay was one of those characrters where you either loved her,like me,or else
hated her.I think I must be in the minority when it comes to Flay.
Rewatching the first ep. last week I can see why Ensign what's her face
was never one of my favorites.When she first meets the kids before
Heliopolis is blown up she acts really arrogant.
I didn't actually get to like her until toward the end in the scene on the
Dominion when she's trying to comfort Flay.

Flay was evil and did terrible things to Kira. Which is why I diliked her. I was just so shocked when she died. But if I met someone like her I would definatly not get along with her. She was just a horrible person. She was one sick cookie

I'll change it back to the regular male sign as soon as Linkquests does his.

I think I'm probably one of the few people who love Flay.Then again I
actually like Kagura on Inuyasha as well.So maybe it's just my taste in
women.(Or maybe I should wait to say that once I got my male sign back up).

at first Flay seemed to annoy me, but later in the show you kinda get sympathetic for her, so i don't mind flay, except when she's being a git.

a debate on wheter or not Flay was good or evil?
