Maison Ikkoku Box 6

Postby Rev. Doc » Wed Apr 20, 2005 8:36 pm

A number of us wait with baited breath as each new Maison Ikkoku Box Set is preparing for release and we ask ourselves, "Will there be another to continue us on the way to completing this series?" Well, as box set 5 nears release next month, Viz has issued some good news which will bring about a sigh of relief. Maison Ikkoku Box Set 6 has a release date of October 25th. Remember, MI can only be obtained directly through Viz Media and Rightstuf.com. The best bet will be to wait for Rightstuf to have another Viz sale (and they will surely have one before October) and pre-order it at 40% off.

Well, I've just begun the series, but like you said, a Viz sale would be great to catch up a little. Do you know how many more beyond box 6 there will be?

There will be 8 Box Sets total. I know to some folks it seems like 5 months is a long time between releases, but remember Viz is just now dubbing these remaining episodes.

That was my question. I know they gave up on dubing when they were releasing the series on VHS. I don't remember what the last dubbed episode was.

Do you know how much of the original cast has returned, if any?

Sorry to dredge up an old topic, but for Maison Ikkoku fans there's some good news. Now may be time to catch up on your Maison Ikkoku (and Ranma 1/2 for that matter).

From now until the 18th, http://www.rightstuf.com is offering 40% off on all Viz DVD's. I believe RightStuf is the only place you can get the Maison Ikkoku boxsets (besides Viz, itself, perhaps).

*sigh* I'm now up with the rest of you on Maison Ikkoku purchases. I had to force myself to wait till another sale to buy more Ranma, since I'm slowly enjoying that series.

Right Stuf's sales are just TOO good, y'know?
