Okay, you know how on AS, we have seen the 3D OP for GITS:SAC.

Why haven't we seen the other OP yet? Plus, why is the ED not the same as what I have seen? Did AS just edit one to give them more time to run ads or what?

Or was the other OP and ED done in Japan and wasn't sent over here?

This thing has been bugging me to no end!

I dunno, but the second opening ("Rise" by Yoko Kanno/Origa) is really a cool song, so I hope they'll put it on soon. I have yet to hear the second ending.
Adult Swim generally speeds up the ending credits and may leave out the opening altogether in the interest of fitting the show into the time slot. Having seen GITS: SAC on DVD at one point, I know they've done this with the ending on Adult Swim.
Think happy thoughts.

Thanks. They include a demo of "Rise" on the first OST, so I figured it was somehow connected to the first season. In that case, we're in luck, as Adult Swim will air 2nd Gig sometime later this year.
On another note, the Laughing Man has Steve Blum's voice! Wheeeeeeeeee!! Could this show get any better?!
Think happy thoughts.

It will be showed in Sept.

And no, the OP that I'm talking about is not "Rise" by Origa that is use for Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig which is eps 27-52.

There is another OP for the frist season of GITS:SAC. They play "Inner Universe", but it is not done in 3D like the one that we have seen on AS. Its all cel shots. The ED that I have seen is not even the same as the one that they show on CN. It plays the same song at the ending, but it just shows pics of each member up close and that is it and it doesn't have any of the pics of what is showed in CN one in it.

Alright, here's what I know. As I understand it, the other intro/intros (I recall something of a plurality) was animated, and in fact the 3D intro appeared only sparsely. Evidently, for one, or more likely multiple reasons, they've decided an American audience would better like a consistent showing of the 3D intro. The other thing I've noticed, as deduced from a look at the Season 2 soundtrack, and the lyrics of said CD, it seems that "Rise" is the Theme song of Season 2, and that it was thrown in as a bonus track on the first CD (Notice the words "TV Size Version" on the disc case, for indeed the full song is longer, while the full version is on the new season's soundtrack).

So, more or less. One was done for Japan and the other was done for the US?

oops, you meant the animation.
The one cycling through footage of the show was used in the first two eps of season 1 because the 3d intro had not been completed yet.

dude... same thing applies to rurouni kenshin, full metal alchemist, etc... in FMA they onyl show the 2nd OP and ED, and in RK they only show the First OP and... some other ED... for the entire series... unlike Japan who shows all openers

Also with some of the edited endings they pick one episode's closing credits and go with those for nearly all the episodes. With Trigun, for example, they just use the closing credits from the first episode, so for every episode it shows the folks who played the voices of Descartes and Loose Ruth.

They do have full intros and outros for some shows on AdultSwim.com, but they haven't updated those for some time. I personally would like to see them to post all the FMA openings.

TDA has all of them.

Sorry, ASF has them, but there's a link on the sidebar.

IMO, the second ending song "Living in the Shell" drives me up the wall! :bang:

I like the frist ending song alot better.

The DVD so far (up to episode 20) has only had the 3D CG OP, so, unless it's on the next DVD, it prpbably won't show up in the US, on AS or anwhere else.
