I'm not to sure if he's really dead. he might walk around like Jack's father. I kept on saying His eyes are going to shoot open and he's going to say somthing weird. I was expecting Claire's baby to be freaky looking. Maybe it will grow up to be Boone
ok, i'll shut up now....Ok, here is some things that you might not of noticed*i didn't* THat i thought were interesting....
# The mysterious numbers that the episode focuses around are: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42.
# When speaking with his attorney during a flashback, Hurley is informed that he now owns a Box Company. Is it a coincidence that Locke used to work for a box company? When it comes to this show, there are no coincidences.
# The cursed numbers that this episode revolves around are 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 appear on the hatch that Boone and Locke have been working on.
# 16 years ago Leonard and his navy co-hort who had been on duty stationed in a listening post in the Pacific. One night they had heard a vocal transmission after a prolonged period of static. These numbers brought bad luck on both Leonard and his friend. Danielle Rousseau and her team had heard the same transmission at the SAME TIME (16 years ago) on their ship, crashing them on the island - which was the point of origin for the transmission.
# We find out that there had been someone on the island before the crash victims, and Danielle Rousseau's team. 'They' had built a comm tower at the "Black Rock" which had been the source of the first vocal transmission of numbers (and later Danielles re-recorded SOS). They might have also been responsible for the mysterious hatch, considering it has the same numbers engraved on it?
# Locke finds that his legs cannot be hurt, as he proves with the shrapnel/pin/hot stick.
# The drug that was being smuggled on the crashed plane Boone and Locke find is heroin---the same that Charlie was addicted to (and Locke knows it). Coincidence? Not on this show.
# When Locke's mother ask where items are located in the store at the beginning Locke says "isles 8 & 15." Flight 815 was the flight and they were two of Hurley's lotto numbers. These numbers have importance because they keep putting them in our face!
# When Boone contacts the outside from the Beechcraft radio, he states that they are survivors of Oceanic flight 815. Closed Caption reveals that he was answered with..."There were no survivors of Oceanic Flight 815!"...a possible clue to the plot.
# Both Boone (Ian Somerhalder) and Locke (Terry O'Quinn) had someone close to them break their neck in a fall when they were children.
Now, this one is somthing to think about....
# Sawyer is reading a new book Madeleine L'Engle: A Wrinkle In Time (about time travel and a 5th dimension), this links into ideas that the radio transmission boone gets is not "there were no survivors..." but "We're the survivors from..." and in fact Boone isn't talking to someone off the island but himself either in the future or in a parrellel dimension of some sort.
