Alberto, if you can't say something nice (or accept your opinion as, gasp, not the ultimate definition of truth) don't bother posting. Jeikobu is right, to lord your opinion as the only way of truth is not only arrogant but just plain rude. Any more of these snide posts will simply be deleted and strikes awarded.

Interesting... I'm wondering if this is maybe supposed to be the girls as young teens or something. They definitely look like they're supposed to be older than preschoolers.

But I do agree with the previous sentiments... hopefully it will be some good, family friendly (but still good) stuff.

Yup yup, even though it was simply a jest. : P

From now on I'll just have to put in big bold letters that I am kidding.

I, for one, will watch it. I don't see what the big deal is...it's just CN trying to cash in on the anime craze. : P

xD the designs for the Powerpuff Girls look pretty good, but....*died laughing at the Professor* I'll have to see this at least once, if only so I can laugh at the Professor more.

but why would CN have to cash in on the anime craze when they already owned ppg, so all they really had to do was make more of the show

This looks good so far, but I still prefer Bleedman's art to these new guys.

I really wish they hadn't taken Bubbles' name so seriously.

Hmmm...it seems they decided to change the story line a bit...why an iceberg?

I totally agree! ^_____^

I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with this.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

I'm conflicted over this... interesting concept. On the one hand, they seem to be abandoning the aspects of the original PPG thatI love best: Craig McCracken's flair for great dialogue, pop culture satire, deceptively subtle stories, and a healthy sence of irony. On the other hand, that's a very unfair thing to say at this point isn't it? All the changes and apparent rip-offs of other anime could potentially turn out to be a witty send-up of anime conventions and Japanese pop culture... if it's done right (and it weathers the dubbing process well) that is.

Serious stuff like that aside, it DOES look pretty well made. I'm gonna be cautiously optimistic at the moment.

Whoa. I don't know what to think.

BTW, it's "Demashitaa" not "Damashitaa", according to the kanji on the poster. "Demashitaa" means "came out, emerged" literally, but the way it's used I think it would be better translated as "We're/it's here!" with much dramatic flair. "Damashitaa" means something more along the lines of "tricked you~!"

Do you think this could be the start of a new trend where the Japanese take western shows and re-create them? I heard they did this type of thing with the ninja turtles and now they are doing it to the powerpuff girls.

The show looks cute and a bit outrageous. It would be funny if it was a parody of Sailor Moon while retaining some of the original feel of the American PPG show.

I don't think it's my style of show, though-- It looks a bit too cutesy.

I'm one of the few who is for this. I never liked the original Power Puff girls but regardless in my opinion the anime versions of them are just about the cutest anime girls ever.

I agree, I think in some cases Cross-Overs are pretty cool. While I will probably never really get into the Powerpuff Girls on either shore, I am interested to see how this comes out. With some good writers and quality animation, Japan could really turn this series into something humorusly enjoyable.

I look forward to seeing the result of this little experament of theirs. ;)

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

Hahaha wow I'm actually not the only one.

Anyways yeah I think most of the people who are speaking are indeed fans of the powerpuff girls so yeah In my opinion I do think I just need to butt out of this conversation.
But to be honest with you, I actually am looking forward to this. I think give it a chance for one... If it sucks, do you really think it's gonna last anyways?

anyways this the last you'll hear from me on the matter. It's coming out like it or not.

Hahaha But I guess this is a situation where yeah I'd probably :bang: my head a hundred times then see most anime's be given an American cartoon treatment....
hahaha think of what that Sailor Moon Cartoon would have done had it been released?

Hahahaha! That looks pretty cool, I'll be looking forward to that. (Love Buttercup's hair.) Besides, it can't be worse than Japan's live action adaptation of SPIDA-MAAAAN! XDDDDDDD
