Anyone else notice that Steven Blum (Spike Spiegel, Roger Smith) was playing future-Jamie?
I'm not sure who plays present-Jamie.

Yeah, Megas is nifty. Nice animation.

Steve also plays the normal jamie, as well.

...why is this thread in the Anime board when Megas XLR isn't an anime? >_<

I already answered that question, twice ^^. It's because the show parodies anime.

it's actually kind of funny, i could almost cosplay with some of my friends as the ppl from the show, i'm a big guy that likes to play video games and watch wrestling, i have a scrawny friend that's always lookin' to pick up a girl, my sister has almost red hair and can hold her own on a computer, as well as beat up on my scrawny friend, and my friend's stepdad looks almost just like the guy that runs the junkyard, i just need a haircut and we'd pretty much have it down, oh well, that's life i guess

Oh man, I love that show! I love the part in the Sailor Moon parody when one of the girls transformed and just kept spinning...and spinning...and spinning... until the others got impatient. *Lol!*

Oh, and the part when he broke the glass on the "In case of emergency break glass" button and then reached to press a different button instead! XD

And the part when he accidentally transported his slushy to the Glorft (sp?), and it spilled all over their controls and blew them up!

And when he attacked something (I forgot what), but it had no effect. Then he said, "Well maybe you'll like this better, then!" and pressed the "This better, then" button.

And when Jamie and Kiva were trapped in a cage, and the aliens said something about, "the girl and the red-head."

I thought it was so cool when they went to Las Vegas, because they showed buildings that actually exsisted! I've been there, and I saw at least seven places in the cartoon that are there in real life!

And (fear not, this is the last one) when, in the first episode, he was up against the HUGE MEGA EXTREMELY BIG Glorft robot. He said, "The bigger they are, the harder they-" *FLICK* (The Glorft robot just flicked him away.)

I hope this isn't considered gravedigging >__<;.

Anyway, I just discovered this thread... And I love Megas XLR. From the animation to the anime parodies to the general satirical humor, I enjoy this show a lot. Someone mentioned that it was once called "Low Brow"... and I saw that pilot! The pilot was amusing and the show is good as well.

I haven't seen all of the episodes but I'd like to. I'll just have to wait for the reruns, I suppose...

I watch Megas as often as I can... its one of my favored shows on CN and frankly I like coops method of robot piloting better than the methods in some anime... its so much more humerous than the typical angst and skill style. And who argues with a guy that likes cheesesteak?

I've seen Megas XLR once... All I remember is that the main character looks like one of the DJs from the christian radio station here....

It was a rerun. The one where
The episode starts out with Coop fighting a bunch of dragon-like creatures in space. Suddenly he runs out of oil and Megas shuts down. Just as the dragons are about to tear Megas apart, a huge ship appears and sucks Megas into it. When Coop gets out of Megas inside the ship, he sees a bunch of men pointing guns at him. The leader walks up and comments on how stupid he was for trying to fight those dragons, and then tells his men to fire. Just then, Kiva gets out and asks Coop what's going on. When the leader (I forgot his name) sees Kiva, he yells at his men to stop. It turns out he's obsessed with red head women. He puts Coop and Jamie in jail and takes Kiva with him to try to win her heart. Of course, Kiva thinks the man is a loser, and eventually they all escape. I can't remember that episode very well, but if you want a more in depth description, just say so, and I'll try to describe it better.
oh yeah, i remember that one, that one has at the end while they show the credits a scene of captain warlock shedding a tear, then coop is shedding a tear and it shows the warlock was shedding a tear over kiva, and that coop was shedding his tear over a cheesesteak sandwich, i thought that was funny

Mirror Universe where Coop was slimmer and he and Kiva were Evil and
Jamie was the Hero. That was a fun one. :thumb:

That's because they're adding The Batman to the lineup tonight and to do it they
decided to have an entire Superhero block featuring Teen Titans,The Batman
and Justice League Unlimited.
Would Dragonball GT count?
The Batman should be fun,I remember watching some of it on kidsWB when it was
on Fridays.
Btw:Off topic, the movie Batman Begins starts some time soon.

I haven't watched Megas but from what I saw it looks pretty good. A lot better than most of those other fake-animes out there (WITCH, Marvin Mystery, others I can't think up now. All bleah.)
Megas and Teen Titans are the only fakimes (fake-a-mays; new word!!) that are really any good.

Best reason for watching MEGAS XLR:It has Wendee "Faye Valentine" Lee
in the cast!
Actually I'm one person who rather enjoys WITCH(stands for the intials of the girls first names:Will,Irma,Taranee(sp?),Cornelia,Hay Lin).
Also since Sailor Moon is off the air for now it's the only decent Magic Girl or Pseudo-Magic Girl show on the air.
