Anime Battles Hall of Fame

Spike vs. Vicious, Kenshin vs. Saito, the Macross vs. the Main Zentradi Battle Fleet...

You know them, you love them, they're the best battles in all of anime. What battles do you think deserve to be in the Hall of Fame? Keep in mind that they must be worthy. Try to nominate battles that you think are truly great in all of anime, not just your favorites.

While it may be a bit premature seeing as it is rather new, [spoiler=R.O.D. The TV]I think Maggie vs. the Dokusensha paper master was a rather incredible battle worthy of mention. Two powerful paper masters pulling out all the stops, plus fighting on a piece of rubble as it falls 60 stories. It doesn't get a whole lot better.[/spoiler]

I'd definitely say Vash vs. Descartes and his men in the first episode of Trigun, Goku vs. Homura in the last ep. of Gensomaden Saiyuki, and Loki vs. Heimdall in episode 21 of Matantei Loki Ragnarok. ^_^

Shin Getter versus the planet Jupiter.

Not really much of a fight, per se, but Ryoma somehow managed to cut Jupiter in half. O_O

Third Hokage versus Ochimaru, and Roofy vs Clock Dell (my imports names for Luffy and Crocodile .. i like their names better). i couldnt remember Mr 0's real name for about 10 minutes 'cause of a brainfart, and i thought I was going to lose my mind >_<

I would have to say Achika (Tenchi's mother) vs. Kain in the first Tenchi Muyo movie, Tenchi In Love.

Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro. Lupin III vs Count Cagliostro.
Come on, they're fighting on gigantic gears. It could have lasted longer, but what there is is great.

Well one fight scene i particularly liked was Naruto vs Gaara...

im sure we all liked Rock Lee vs Gaara as well XD

The one where Kagura slaps the cat around in Azumanga Daioh is good too =p

I'm going with the battle between the Legendary Hero and the Evil Ham-Wizard (as played by Hamtaro and Boss, respectively). Seriously, those were some pretty cool animated special effects!

Though I haven't seen all of them, I have seen clips of Lee vs. Gaara and Lupin vs. Cagliostro. They definitely look like they have what it takes to make it to the Hall of Fame.

If it's not the best fight-scene in an anime, its one of the most memorably staged at least! Can we create a hall-of-fame for that one?

So does Maggie win and do Anita and Michelle survive?I mean if you're gonna spoil it you might as well go all the way and give us more details! :lol:

Ok a just for the heck because it was a fun one to watch:Mitsuki versus
Mitsuki when the Rara Army invades the GDF HQ and the two Mitsukis face each other in the Core Robots.Mainly because of Kazuki's line:
"Mitsuki..Stop..The Pilot of that Robot is You...Yourself!" :lol:

Athrun vs Kira in Gundam SEED

Mai vs Mikoto in Mai-HiME

Kirihara vs Fuji in Prince of Tennis (if you count that as a battle)

Well, thats what happens most of the time. Action in most animes leave somthing to be desired when they make short fights. Its the time leading up to the fight that really get me going.

But I think spike and vincent(from the movie) Had a couple* good fights.

*( a couple as in only two lol.)

Big O/Big Duo (The firts fight and the rematch).

Any of the fights between Taisou and Alberto The Impact in Giant Robo.

Chuujo versus Monster Eye. (GR)

Any scene with the Keppu-Ren. (GR)

That's a great one. Such a gentle person defeating such an incredibly powerful villain. That's one of my favorite movies of all time.

Anything involving a Mecha of any type(excluding SD Gundam the show that tried to do to the Gundam franchise what Jar Jar Binks nearly succeeded in doing to
Star Wars..Ruining it!)
Also Evil KAtsumi versus the rest of the AMP in Silent Mobius just before Kiddy makes her surprise sacrifice move.

Ihate to admit but two fights that I think are just super sweet is in Dragon Ball Z between Piccolo and Android 17 and Goku versus Majin Vageta. Those two fights seriously kicked some butt.
