The song vanished, and again shock overtook Gillias to shiver out of fear. “Then how did you get me? The dragon stood now and towered over Limbar’s cowering form. “I could be someone else’s dragon by right for all I know, but instead you covet me from other elves?!â€

Nice story, so anyways, how did you come up with the Dragon classes? Sure, Shi'ado classes are easy to create, but a pure Dragon class or classes, well...

Very cool. ^_^ Eek, Limbar...

I can totally understand! For some reason my cat really likes to sit on the lap of anyone at the computer. He also loves the computer chair. But it's really hard to type with them in the way, I agree. Cute little furry moggies... =^-^=

what do u mean, "what is a flet?"? ;) hast thou not read LOTR? ^_^ anyway... its like a treehouse, only with an actual house instead of just a board and railing. but thanx, it never occured to me that the flet idea would need some explaining... *blushes* its so simple, it slipped my mind!

i dunno how i got the idea for dragon classes. i think i read a book a long time ago that had something in it with different wolf, or dragon classes. so i just thought it would be kinda cool to do something like that.

;) so, ya like Limbar? she's a complicated character in the making. i still haven't really created a really bad bad-guy yet, but sora thinks it should be Isilan (a character that will come up later).

wow, i'm realizing that this is going faster than i thought it would! cool! i think that in the next few chapters, it gets really confusing. like, it seems like Kaylin's birthday keeps on getting switched around and stuff like that. so it'll be a bit confusing....

Chapter 3: Surprise!

Kaylin woke to the sound of the tropical-colored birds playing among the trees outside her window. Another year had gone by, and she still had not figured out what she wanted for the Coming of Age celebration due in the next few months.

Yes, today was the day she was born 33 years ago, but the celebration seemed far from prepared.

She does not know what earthly things she wants. she wants to be able to remember her mother, but that's not something that can just be given to you. ya know? also, as ya get older, its like you don't really care what u get for your birthday. like, mine was almost 2 weeks ago, and i didn't really care if i got anything from anybody or not. but ike i said before, it starts to get confusing.

and the boyfriend thing... you'll see. haven't written it yet, but it'll get there.

Okay, thanks. I understand now what you mean by her not knowing what she wants. I still care what I get for my birthday at 21. I don't want clothes! I want something like books, cds or dvds or stuff like that. But you don't care as much as when you were a child.
Is my attempt at editing working for you?

it is! u have no idea! i'm really bad with grammar, and making sure things are spelled correctly, so this is awsome! *glomps* so, i guess its not an attempt, its... *thinks of word* working. ^_^ i can't think of a word for that....

if/when this thing gets published, and if/when i get your address at the time, want a signed copy? that goes to everyone on this thread. ^_^ i'll be really nice. which is a big deal.

Yay! More good writing.
Very detailed gown descrip. It's nice when writer's pay attention to detail; it leaves the world less of a smudge and more of a painting on the reader's mind.

A signed copy that would be awesome! Thankyou! (I've also wished to see my novel in published format).
I've got to say I love your descriptions and please forgive me about not remembering what a flet is because I've read LotR several times but my brain doesn't have the capacity to pick up on everything (and I am dyslexic).

I know when I write my novel I am the author and as the author you often know the story so well you don't pick up on the mistakes, so you give it to others to edit. That's what I'm going to do with my story. Give it to a friend to help edit or whatever. But try and get it as polished as I can beforehand. This is really important.

Forgive my asking but what is a "glomp?" Is it sort of an online hug?

yes, a glomp is a sort of hug/attack hug. at least that's how sora describes it...

i find it easier to describe things if i have it, or if its something i would love to have. such as the gown. i would love to have a gown like that, but since i know my parents wouldn't spend that sort of mondy on me for no particular reason...

for being someone with dyslexia, you're doing an awsome job at editing this for me! my brother is dyslexic, so he won't read anything unless it is for school.

well, when this thing is finished, and even if it doesn't get published, i'll send ya'll a copy. ^_^ signed. i wouldn't mind reading some of other people's things too. matter-o-fact, i'm sort of editing this thing for sora right now. very cool! i think she should post it here, and if she already has, that just shows how much in the dark i am...

I do have dyslexia and before I was 6 I hated books and trying to read them, as it was very hard. Then I discovered the Grug series (an Australian early readers series) that really appealed to me and somehow drew me into the world of reading. I loved reading from then on. During primary school I probably borrowed 700 or more books and tackled Lord of the Rings in Year 6 but was confused by the writing style and names. I read it again in Year 7 and understood it better. Now I can't stop reading! I'm the ultimate bookworm and I love libraries, but I don't often return books ontime, so sometimes they don't like me.

Thanks for the kind comments. Once I've finished my novel (could be ages- like a year?!!) I'll send you a signed copy too). Awesomeness!

no, i don't think that John Howe painted it, but he could have. its one of the avatars from the LOTR forums. its http://www.lordoftherings.net then to the Fan Club at the bottom. then Community at the top. to be able to see the avatars, i think ya have to be a user or something, but here's were ya can go to look at the different avatars if it lets ya in. http://forums.fanhq.com/profile.php if not, then you'll have to sign up, go to profile, and all that other stuff...

or, if there's anything in particular ya want, ask me, and i can get it for ya. ^_^

what i just said was like, really confusing, wasn't it?

Eek! Sorry I forgot to say anything about this before; -_-' ^_^ my connection was being lousy at loading CA threads at that time, so I went away and left it for a while, which is why I didn't notice the posts before my last one. That would be so cool! I don't mind if you forget or are unable to when the time comes, but that's so nice! If I ever get anything published I'll try to return the favor, though any of mine will possibly be a bit more sci-fi, or an illustrated children's book. ^_^

It would be so cool to see this published! Of course, I know I haven't read the whole book, but I do know I'm enjoying it so far.

Nice story, i definitely would like to continue reading it. Its very creative. I enjoy creative writing, and i might post some of my stuff, but its not very good. My teachers tell me my creativity is great, and my writing very interesting but it lacks being enjoyable to read because of my poor writing skills. After i touch up on those a little, i may submit some stuff. Anyways, back to your writing. Very interesting. I would have an english teacher or someone good with grammer and writing help you edit (not that you need it necessarily, i'm not good enough at grammer to tell, but they may be able to give you some pointers) Well, good luck and i hope to hear more of it in the future.

Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,

And whither then? I cannot say."

EEK! Internet Explorer stole my reply! :comp:

My Mum had her front teeth crowned over 10 years ago, and don't worry; she says it didn't really hurt. I hope the crown makes your tooth a lot better, and that it's not at all painful. Maybe you could even pray before you go in; whenever I have to have a bloodtest or injection, or anything like that, if I pray it seems to be a lot easier.

Yes, internet connections... THE BANE OF ALL INTERNET SOCIETIES WORLDWIDE!!! :mutter: Don't worry, I understand. :)

Lost, I hope it doesn't hurt when you get "crowned." Praying's beforehand is definetly a good idea, like Photosoph suggested.

Photosoph - two words: "Mozilla Firefox." Much more secure than IE and has nifty tab thingys.
*Climbs through wall, finds himself in the kitchen, helps himself to a cookie from the cookie jar and goes off in search of Photosoph. In the living room finds a humanoid cat and a potato that look like a girl seated at the computer. "CreatureArt and Photosoph you look just like you do on CAA!," he mumurs. The girls turn around. Warrior tags Photosoph and run away.*
