...when it starts over on March 15th. With all of the glowing praise of it I've heard here on CAA and in other places, it'd better be good.

What time at night does it come on? Maybe I can glue my eyelids open long enough to see it.

BTW, does anyone know when Cowboy Bebop starts at the beginning again?
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

I think that Trigun is well worth the hype. A perfect combo of action, drama, and comedy. Great characters, great story. And it's one of the few anime that seem to support Christianity. When you see ep 23 you'll know what I mean. ;)

You know, I coulda loved Trigun. It could have been one of my all-time favorite animes. If only the philosophy of Absolute Pacifism wasn't pushed so hard. By the end of the show, I saw Vash as an indirect villain.

It's a bit hard for me to like a show that indirectly calls police and soldiers murderers. :shake:

I think killing is necessary only when it's your only choice, when you are trying to save your life or someone else's. But I can't blame Vash for his feelings, it sucks that anyone is killed.

YES! I love you!! Watch it!! Buy the DVDs! Buy the awesome manga! Sign the "Make Knives a Plushie" petition! Become a fan!! Just be careful to not watch it too much, or you'll end up like me. *C-O-M-P-L-E-T-E-L-Y obsessed* Wait, what am I saying! WATCH IT UNTIL YOUR BRAIN EXPLODES!! Watch it, and watch it completely. The first half of the anime is very humorous, and the second half gets more serious and plotful.

Trigun? Is that the one with the guy, and the stuff happens, and Rosebud was his slead?

Oh, right, and in the last episode we find out that Vash is really a female. And Rem is Wolfwood.

It really wasn't absolute pacifism. He's willing to fight, but not to kill. I just wrote a paper on existential philosophy and Trigun, and his choice not to kill has some very interesting existential tie ins.

Yeah, I feel the same way, only probably less forcefully. Vash kind of annoyed me at times, because you can't save everyone. Sometimes, war is necessary to protect good things.

And Knives isn't as bad as you all think!! :mutter:

Muahaha...

I've been wanting to see it for a while. ^_^
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

[Pink Floyd fan listening to Queen and hugging trees which is also known as taking care of God's creation with a pair of headphones on listening to Nightwish as loud as possible while writing a novel on a computer in the middle of a field filled with Wolves.]

We need, like, a complete plushie set. And then we can write little fanfic plays for them to act out...then I'll make an Angel plushie and a Lunis plushie and we can do our RPG! And you know all those pictures from shoujo manga where the girl has a little plushie of the boy? Exactly. I would take my little Nicholas plushie and my Midvalley plushie and put them on a little pillow next to my pillow and... *rambles on for a while until she collapses from lack of air*

How can you get so obsessed over a show that's only 26 eps long? =) That's short enough I might just make myself a lil' VHS collection for free!

The manga's much more coherent (IMO) and longer, but the anime puts a voice to a face and is a fine anime by itself. And if you tape it off Adult Swim, be warned that it'll be edited. See www.animenewsnetwork.com > Columns > Edit List > Trigun for more.
