What Anime Movie or Episode should I get?

Postby starwarsboy90 » Thu Mar 10, 2005 12:07 pm

Hey Everybody, I kinda have a question. With my next paycheck, I'm either going to get an game or 2 movies. Which Anime should I get. I love InuYasha, but I have so many episodes, dubbed and subbed, it's unrealistic. I like Full Metal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop ( which I have all the Episodes except for 1) and Ghost In A Shell ( I've only missed a few episodes). Or is there a real cool Anime game for Gamecube I could get? Some suggestions would be highly appreciated!

What kind of anime do you like?

If you don't mind a semi-romantic comedy, I suggest Fruits Basket!
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex Special Edition Vol. 1

It comes with the Yoko Kanno soundtrack <drool>. "Inner Universe" (mislabeled in the soundtrack as "Home Stay") is divine.

Here's a great place to get it too:

I've seen InuYasha up until ep 55 so far and it's great, more than worth owning. I have the Season 1 box set (the Limited Edition one, but it's more expensive than the normal one. The only difference is it comes with InuYasha's trademark necklace, the Beads of Subjugation) and want to own the whole series eventually. It doesn't matter to me that there are alot of eps.
FMA is also a must. It's definitely worthy of the title of best anime series ever.

Ok, I'll get Rogue Squadron 3, and I'll get an Anime. Well, Jeikobu, I have The Season 1 Box Set of InuYasha, not to mention, Episodes 28-100, 117-120, 123-126, 128, 136,138, 149, 156-157, 160, 162-164, Then I have InuYasha Movies 1-3 ( Third One's condensed, but oh well), plus I have at least 7-9 InuYasha Music Videos. I have Episodes 1, 2 ,3 ,6,8,9,12 of Ghost in a Shell. Maybe I'll get volume 1, but any more suggestions would be fine!

starwarsboy, I take it most of your InuYasha stuff is downloaded on your computer rather than on DVD?

Actually it is downloaded, then transfered to DVD, so in truth, yes to both I suppose. The first InuYasha movie is great, the second on is even better. THe Third is the ultimate best!
