Miyazaki bonus disk?

Postby Tenshi no Ai » Wed Mar 09, 2005 6:40 am

It's been a verrrrrrrry long time since I've been on here, or on the net for that matter!

Anyhow, I noticed that on the new Ghibli trio each one has a sticker saying that if you purchase all three, you can send away for a bonus disk for only a couple bucks shipping...

I haven't had a chance to buy one yet to see in the inside details, but any ideas on what this is? One thought that came to mind, that it was possible Totoro that was falsely advertised as being in the set, then being replaced by The Cat Returns! Somehow I doubt it, but I guess maybe it's possible in the ploy of getting you to buy all three... So anyone know?

Hey Tenshi, long time no see.

Here's how it works:
If you buy Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, Porco Rosso, and The Cat Returns, you can get Kiki's Delivery Service, My Neighbor Totoro, or Castle in the Sky for free (plus shipping).

Disney hasn't put out My Neighbor Totoro yet. My insert said you can order Spirited Away, Castle In The Sky or Kiki's Delivery Service when purchasing the three.

I haven't actually seen the insert but I would tend to agree with Rev. Doc bc Totoro hasn't been put out by Disney yet.

I am dying to get these 3 films so I can send in for Spirited Away. I heard the offer expires on August 31, 2005, if I recall.

ya I didn't really like Totoro for some reason. I guess it was maybe a bit to childish for my taste (not that I'm super mature myself, just teh whole cat bus thing and also the totoro's themselves seemed kinda stupid-like to me. O well I'm glad ya'll enjoy it.)

Yep, that's right. I'm slowly learning to let Doc answer these questions. I seem to keep messing up the finer details.
