I have seen a couple of disks sitting on the local Hastings "get rid of our old rentals" rack and wondered the same things myself. Maybe if more people are asking, someone who knows will tell us.

Is it good? Meh. It's decent.
It doesn't follow the storyline of any of the games. It does, however, have a few things in it that are references to the games (like Luceid, the Guardian of Desire, and one of the major characters from WA2).
Contentwise, no nudity...wait, scratch that, you can see some dude's butt, I think, in one of the episodes. Maybe some "d"s and "h"s for language, if that. No gore, but there may have been a little blood. There were some sexual references in a couple of episodes I think...been a while since I've seen the series.
All in all, I give it a 5 out of ten. It's just very average...not much to distinguish it as being a great anime, though the theme song is awesome...perhaps if it followed the storyline of the games more closely, it would've been better.

I agree with the above poster's rating pretty much, though I don't hold it against it that it doesn't follow the Storyline, I didn't get it expecting it to follow the storyline.
ANYWAYS overall I can only put it as an average anime with now real greatness to it.
However Kaemmerite, one thing I really do got to say shined to me in this anime is the ending, I REALLY LOVED the ending and almost teared up at it. I'd probably even put it in my top ten favorite anime ending's.
But even with that said, I don't think I could give the anime more then a 6/10, I don't think it's a totally bad view, just nothing special.
