I saw Saikano. It made me cry.

The music was good. The characters were kewl, even if they had no noses. XP

The ending was...uh, yeah. Pretty, uh...hmm...I don't know how to describe it.

I give it an 8 out of 10 for the cynical ending, but other than that, good series. :thumb:

I had to rewatch the show three times to really catch some of the major plot points. Otherwise it was very well thought out even though it was overly pessimistic.

I want to get it but haven't decided whether to get it now (after Lent, I mean) or wait for a brick. Eliminate the stupider sexual elements (the ones that scream pandering and not a relevant part of the story) and it was really quite good manga wise...

Hmm...I guess they removed most of it from the anime. On that note, I remember only one VERY brief nude scene, and it was only the upper half of Chise's bottom. As far as sexual content, there was no nudity save what I said, and no sex itself (that I remember), though there were quite a few references to sex.

That's sounds substantially safer than the manga where there were a couple sex scenes (mature but not hentai) in the two volumes I read and a lot of locker room talk (guys and girls both). Given the number of times the F-word was used, I may look for the Japanese version and see what was really said, since the dialogue seemed suspect...

Oh, wow. I guess I'm glad I skipped the manga, then. No F-bombs in the English dub of the anime, at least. Yes, I watched Saikano in English, and it wasn't too bad, actually...I may watch it in Japanese too though at some point in time. I don't specifically remember any locker room talk, though like I said, there are quite a few points at which sex is discussed by some of the characters.

yeah needless to say this is not anime for the 16 and below but if you can past the few instances of sex its a great anime series
