2 questions....

- Compared to the Manga and the Subtitled version, how faithful is their translation of Scar thus far?

-Concerning Basque Gran's little meeting with Scar....
In the review here and subsequent posts, it has been mentioned about exploding heads. I'm guessing Scar's execution method is what is being what is referred to.

Obviously they skipped the graphic scene of Gran's death, but for what actually happened, from what I could tell from the aftermath, was it basically just blood spouting from eyes/ears/nose/mouth, ect? And does Scar do this to anyone else on screen in the course of the show?
I watched it (something to watch when having downtime when rendering video footage). Since I normally don't follow the series, I was a bit confused but I liked it. That Sin (is that his name) is a pretty cool character.

I was going to catch the Ghost in the Shell episode right after it but I already have it on DVD ^_^

A couple more episodes and than I will be watching episodes I have yet to see.

If you mean the guy with the glasses, yellow jacket and two tone hair, that's Scar. ^_^

I must say, though.... Envy and Gluttony sound nothing like I was expecting: IE- Envy sounding a bit younger and Gluttony more dopey.

Oh, and did they ever advertise the fact that they were changing the times? If I hadn't wandered onto TV Tome, I woulda missed it.

i didn't see anything about the time change itself, and all they did was put super milk chan between inuyasha and cowboy bebop, how depraved is that, now i have to spend even more time programming my vcr to record around all the cartoons that i dont like just so i can see the ones that i do like, argh! :mutter: , it just seems pointless to me to interrupt all the action cartoons with a cartoon like milk chan that to me makes ed, edd, and eddy look like a bunch of geniuses

'nuff said, besides that i'm way off topic

I only knew about the time change from seeing the ads for Super Milk Chan on AS and then later going to the AS website and looking up the schedule.
The only good thing was that after Inuyasha I changed over to G4Techtv and
saw ROD The Tv on AU before switching back to Cowboy Bebop.
This what I feel about SMC: :bootout:
They ought to replace it with FLCL for a couple weeks and then add something like,oh,I don't know say Outlaw Star or one of the other
Gundam series IMHO.

They advertised it during the week before 2/12 on AS a few times during commercial breaks but they may have only done that while Family Guy and Futurama were on. I'm not sure since I never watch the whole lineup.

What I didn't like was how Scar was saying he was killing in the name of God...what was up with that? Scar's awesome, so please tell he's talking about some false god or something...
And if Scar is, then they should clarify it! Or else people will begin to think he's referrign to God...T_T >.>

Yes, he is talking about the god (of the people of) Ishbal.

I'm still curious, though, about is how if what he is saying in the dub is accurate to the sub.

Yea, I'm wondering about that too. Does Scar clarify that he's talking about the god of Ishbal? Did I just miss that part or something? ^^;

Well, the show itself hasn't said yet, but there was a thread about this earlier, that's how I have confirmation that I'm write.... and the fact that I've been reading over different FMA websites.

Next week they're supposed to talk about the Ishbal Massacre, so maybe we'll hear about it then, but if not hopefully they'll specify more down the road.
