My ideas for some AMV's

Postby The Doctor » Wed Feb 09, 2005 9:14 pm

KK...bear with me on this.

1st idea: Scott Krippayne's "I'm not cool" song. (Btw, if you haven't heard this song, LISTEN TO IT!!! Found on his All of Me album)
You have a various assortment of funny scenes from Trigun, Kenshin, Fruits Basket, and other anime as the tune plays.

2nd idea: Michael W. Smith's "Friends" song. Yes, as much as this song has been overplayed, it's high time it has an amv of it. Show various tearful scenes of other anime.

Sounds good.

What about Beck's "Loser" to a bunch of losers?

I have some good ideas for Music Vids that I plan on doing in the near future (once I get the newer version of Adope Premiere this Fri).

Call Me Call Me by Yoko Kanno - Cowboy Bebop
Outro by Haste the Day - Voices of a Distant Star
Across Waters Again by Blindside - Outlaw Star
Through the Blackby Demon Hunter - End of Evangelion

I'm doing a Giant Robo video to "Under Ice" by Stark Effect. The lyrics fit it well. ^_^

I also really want to do an AMV to Audiovent's "Gravity", but I can't find the song anywhere.

BTW,

I'm sorry for mentioning the U2 song. I know that group isn't as bad as most, however I'm sure there are Christians out there who disapprove or struggle with them, and for that I apologize for bringing them up and ask your forgiveness for possibly being a stumbling block. As a result, I've edited it out of my original text.

Also, AMV's I'm sure are probably looked down upon by the law and the music industry, as well as the anime companies, since AMV makers ARE using/stealing a product they themselves do not own. Ergo, I don't endorse AMV's.

Um...I don't see anything wrong with U2, they're a very good band and I don't doubt thier beliefs. They just chose to portray it in a different way.

As for AMV's, as long as we don't make a profit of it, they're is nothing illegal against it.

I was thinking that oneday someone should make a AMV centered around the song "The Places That You've Come to Fear the Most" by Dashboard Confessional about Kyo Sohma of Fruits Basket. Everytime I hear it, I think of him.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.
