Okay, for those who read this and don't particularlly care for the way I use Father Thomas as a character who's biased and needs improvement, let me say: I totally believe in the Church as it is before God. I think that often times people rage against the church, and that, of course, isn't my goal here. However, having traveled abroad, I can say that I've seen firsthand what happens when people who do not seek after the Lord gain control over the church.
That being said, it's important for us to realize that a priest or pastor is still a man and must always be willing to grow closer to the Lord. All of us, including those to whom God has entrusted to lead the Church stand before His throne by grace alone, through Jesus' blood. I think that should clear things up. If there are any questions or criticisms, please don't feel shy, it helps me learn how to more effectivily communicate the message of the Gospel, which is my ultimate end.
