>>>I have not yet begun it, but I am now negatively inclined toward the book, primarily because the reviews of several critics are required reading prior to the actual book, and reading the opinions of critics often annoys me.<<<

Yeah, that's gotta be irritating. One could argue that it's better to read reviews after you've read the book, so that you have some idea of what the heck they're talking about. I've just been assigned the Diary of Anne Frank. Thankfully, our teacher gave us no reviews to go over; though she usually gives us her own review anyway.

>>>How true. I read them at least once a year. I always enjoy them a little bit more each time.<<<

They do get better, don't they? ^^ One of these days I'll have to get around to reading C.S. Lewis's other works as well.
"Consider the lilies of the field. They neither sew nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as one of these. If God so clothes the grass, which is in the field one day and cast into the oven the next, how much more will he clothe you, o ye of little faith?
-Luke 12:27-28

-CAA's official writing shinobi.

"Mostly I write action/adventure, and while I dislike romance, I seem to end up doing it and I've been told I do so well. To that I give a cliche "Feh.""

I'm currently reading the fourth book in the Left Behind series, Soul Harvest.
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

I was reading Black by Ted Dekker, but I finished it just last night.
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

I'm reading "The Dragon Reborn" third book in the Wheel of Time series. I've actually read the first 9 in high school, but I picked up the tenth book a couple months ago and couldn't remember what happened in the first 9. So now I'm re-reading them all. I really enjoy them, so I didn't mind reading them again.

I finally have gotten around to earnestly reading The Resurrection of the Son of God by N.T. Wright rather than simply taking shots at various sections, and I must say it's pretty slick, definately a book I'd recommend to inquirers on His resurrection who have the patience to read a 738 page scholarly behemoth.
