>>>I have not yet begun it, but I am now negatively inclined toward the book, primarily because the reviews of several critics are required reading prior to the actual book, and reading the opinions of critics often annoys me.<<<
Yeah, that's gotta be irritating. One could argue that it's better to read reviews after you've read the book, so that you have some idea of what the heck they're talking about. I've just been assigned the Diary of Anne Frank. Thankfully, our teacher gave us no reviews to go over; though she usually gives us her own review anyway.
>>>How true. I read them at least once a year. I always enjoy them a little bit more each time.<<<
They do get better, don't they? ^^ One of these days I'll have to get around to reading C.S. Lewis's other works as well.
"Consider the lilies of the field. They neither sew nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as one of these. If God so clothes the grass, which is in the field one day and cast into the oven the next, how much more will he clothe you, o ye of little faith?

"Mostly I write action/adventure, and while I dislike romance, I seem to end up doing it and I've been told I do so well. To that I give a cliche "Feh.""
