I think someone with a medical background can answer that question appropriately. All I can say is that I blush sometimes out of embarrassment. I should also note that there are times that I am embarrassed while not blushing, and there are times that I blush but I am not embarrassed.

Next, I do have a few questions for you on behalf of my friends offline. Is there a such major called Security Engineering and do they offer that as a Master's degree in where you study?

I have never heard of an academic major of study called, "Security Engineering." Right now in computer engineering, security is an aspect of design, not a complete independent field. Therefore, it is seen as a specialization within the computer engineering field.

Georgia Tech does offer a Master's Degree in Information Security through the College of Computing, which in reality is a specialized Computer Science degree. I should note I am not under that program, and I am under the College of Engineering in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. However, my scholarship is tied with the Georgia Tech Information Security Center (GTISC), which is interdisciplinary and has members from Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and International Affairs.

There are many links in that last paragraph.... If my explanation is unclear, please feel free to ask questions, Mave.

Actually, you have asked a similar question a few months ago. If you still want a short direct answer after clicking that link, I guess that I do not use chopsticks well under the usual Far East standards.

Well, I touched on this subject before but not directly.

So, can I cook? Yes, I can, but I rarely cook, and my dishes are extremely simple and small. For example, I would say my specialty dish right now is spaghetti with sauce. Usually, my mother does the cooking in the home.

3) Briefly describe a typical day in your life. (Go wild with this one *laughs*)

At the time of this post, "typical" means during college when classes are in session.

There is really nothing wild about my typical day. I usually wake up in the morning to my alarm. I make myself look decent and have a small snack for breakfast. I then attend classes during the day. In between 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., I usually eat lunch. In the late afternoon and evening, I usually work on my assignments. If there is some time at this point in the day, I would either lift weights or pedal a stationary cycle as part of my routine physical workout. In between 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., I eat dinner. I take a shower at night. Then I continue working on my assignments until I force myself to go to sleep, realizing that I should not stay up all night and early morning.

I check my e-mail and Internet sites such as CAA periodically throughout the day and night at varying times.

However, with chocolate (and I am specifically referring to chocolate candy like a Hershey's bar), I like a lot, and I do have a preference for dark chocolate over all other types of chocolate. I share my parents' sentiment that milk chocolate has too much sugar (although I like that flavor as well).

I should also clarify that while I like chocolate a lot, it is not the same as the love for chocolate that many women I have met (including my mother) seem to have. While I find this love for chocolate that these women exhibit fascinating, I do not share it.

No, I usually look at my subscribed threads daily if they are updated. Then if I have more time to spare, I will look at the titles of the recently updated threads and see if any interest me.

I usually respond to posts rather than create new threads. Furthermore, when I respond, it is because I believe my response brings some unique input to the thread or further clarification, which implies that I would believe I am pretty knowledgeable in the thread's subject. I do not respond if I am just going to essentially repeat what someone else said, and I usually do not respond with posts just showing that I laughed or frowned at someone's posts.

In other words, my posting behavior is heavily dependent on how much free time I have and on what other members post. The reason I frequently post in this thread is that many members post here content that I will reply to.

The short answer is he is Gato from the SNK fighting game "Garou: Mark of the Wolves" that was released on the Sega Dreamcast a few years ago and is planned to be re-released on the PS2 in the near future. He will also be in the upcoming release of King of Fighters 2003 on the PS2, though he will not have all of his special moves in that game.

Not only did you provide a huge amount of information to begin with, but to continually answer so many questions is quite a task, too. Although I haven’t been a member here for very long, it’s apparent that quite a few people here look up to you, and I can understand why.
Now, about some of your comments:

This type of practice arrangement allowed me to have one strength that was respected by everyone: I could express the message of the music and its emotional and spiritual content to the listener. I was not really playing the piano. I was expressing the special message and soul of the music the composer put down on paper. I was also expressing what this message meant to me through my performance. By dwelling on pieces for a long time with hard work and determination, I could know what the music really is and thus project it. I was doing more than just making sounds on a mechanical device, and that is what other musicians (and judges) noticed. If I was really talented, I might not have spent the time to receive, understand, appreciate, and express such messages. In other words, dedication and determination helped me excel.

As a musician, one thing that I have heard over and over again is that it takes more than technical ability to be a good musician. That is, just because someone can play all the right notes in a piece without having to spend much time practicing isn’t enough]I am not sure I would make a good writer. Any plot ideas I came up with tend to fall apart quickly, and when I have written stories, I tend to write so slowly that I considered it unproductive. Regardless, I do not have the time to write stories now. Graduate school keeps you busy.[/QUOTE]

The bright sheen from a sudden sway of her hair reminds me of her energy, mischief, and command and my commitment to her well-being and happiness.

Second, I determined that I am not interesting or remarkable because of the lack of interest I generated with a great deal of people that I have met in my life. This would include many people who are not part of this community. In other words, I made my determination from a different scope.

As a musician, one thing that I have heard over and over again is that it takes more than technical ability to be a good musician. That is, just because someone can play all the right notes in a piece without having to spend much time practicing isn’t enough]Hmm, I do not believe I am underestimating my abilities in this case. In my experience, expressive playing was a gift that my competitors had, but they did not care to exercise it all the time like I did. When they chose to do so, they tend to express their music appropriately without as much labor as I experienced.

I do not believe that paragraph shows anything other than the ability to produce good writing. Similarly, I believe that the facts you stated only demonstrate your speed at writing, not your ability. There have been great authors that spend days on a single sentence, and other equally great authors (judging roughly from general critics) that write chapters in a single hour.

LOL I doubt it has anything to do with the length of a thread. I don't even know whether members such as...let's see, maybe Ashley, Chloe or UC have threads here but ppl look up to them anyway. For me, it's just how you treat others and what values you hold.

Assuming you are addressing my stance on not entering a romantic relationship when I cannot responsibly do so, I will accept that assertion.

I am aware there is more to writing than plot, but personally, when I read a story, plot is very important since it is one of the major factors in keeping my interest.

It was not my intent to imply that such was your opinion, nor to undermine the importance of plot in storytelling. However, since many genres (poetry, much of nonfiction) do not requre plot at all, it is possible to be a good writer without having a mastery of plot, which I believe is the point I was trying to make.

Whether demonstrating good writing necessarily makes one a good writer is a question that probably depends greatly on what one considers to be a good writer, and also on the definition of the word 'writer.' I was using the word in the broader sense of 'one who writes,' rather than 'a person who writes by profession.' Since I don't particularly wish to address the precise nature of the relationship between good writing and a good writer, I can't really answer your question.

Kaori, about my "plot" comment, I made it before you went into your main point to just give you a side-note of clarification on why I stated that as a reason for my self-doubt as a good writer. It was meant to be just a note and nothing more. I did not feel you were trying to imply what my opinion was.

But this does lead to my opinion on what being a good writer means, which might help clarify my stance and earlier comments. A good writer has a good handle (not sure if that is the best word)... on the art of writing. The analogy on the top of my head would be the writer's paint is words. (I admit it is not the best analogy.) A good writer should be able to point out themes, make important points, keep his/her audience's interest, be able to describe abstract concepts, narrate a series of events (be it in a history book or novel), etc. with words with reasonable consistency to indicate he/she has a good handle. Granted, a good writer will be able to do some of these tasks better than others, but he/she should be somewhat comfortable doing some of these tasks with words.

In my previously stated facts on the writing about my thoughts on black hair, I intended to imply that I did not have a good handle on the art of writing, thus I currently do not consider myself a good writer. uc pseudonym, I understand your point about writing speed. There are times in all forms of art where it just takes a lot of time to do a certain thing right. I know that from my piano playing experience, and I considered myself a good pianist. However, there is a difference between difficulty in the task itself and the difficulty that arises from a lack of mastery in the necessities of the art to achieve it. Personally, I feel the difficulty many times (including this example) came from the latter.

Now, Kaori, you are the English Literature major, and uc pseudonym, you read and write more often than I do.... In your view, I might be too demanding in what I expect from a good writer. But in general, I have always had high standards. I willingly give these standards to everyone, and I make sure I am no exception to them. However, take this as a sign that I believe everyone is capable of achieving them, including myself. Therefore, I will say I do believe I have potential to become a good writer.

By the way, this discussion on writing did help inspire me to write that Losers' Lounge story in the Second Annual CAA Tournament.

Okay, I think I have really chose the wrong word there. Probably, "indicate" instead of "measure" would have been better. I intended to express doubt that a lengthy/long Who's Who thread is a reliable sign that this community (which is very large and diverse) is fascinated with me. For example, it might only show a few members, rather than the community, are fascinated with me. I should have stated this more directly and clearly the first time. My apologies.

Those are good dreams!! I pray that you achieve your dreams!!! I want my parents live happily ever after because they've spent the majority of their lives trying to make mine happy...but I am not sure if that's my dream...And I want to be a good wife to my husband..but I'm not sure if that's my dream...=_=;; I'm not sure if I even have dreams...But I'm scared to have children...I'm not of age yet, but I'm scared from what I've learned in health class..@.@;;
