Great series! If I can get enough money I'll buy it when it comes out here! ^_^ I need to babysit or something...

Anyways, if you're nervous about the magic and religions, don't be. It all explains itself.

pm me, I am curious..

Actually according the set of guidlines you can't produce any fansubs once it is licensed. Up until it is released maybe, but definitely no producing if you know it is licensed. That is not good, as it doesn't help the industry.

Ok, so I'm reviving this thread...but it's for a good reason!

Heck it's for the BEST reason. It's because I'm a huge scrapped princess fan. I'm on the next to last episode, and about to cry. How can such a good series possibly end so soon? ; ___ ;

Shannon is of course the very best. He rocks. Leo cracks me up to, though. I like him a lot...mostly because I know what it's like to be the naive idealist in the stupid costume (I was a camel once). I heard the music long before I saw the series, and I admit the celtic flare (in the art too) drew me in. But boy am I glad I got in.
But when Fulle died, oh man did I ever sob. Waaah! Poor Fulle! I miss you so much, even if you were a shannon rip off!
Anyway, my only beef (other than it being too short and not available as manga/anime in the US yet) is that I can't find ANY merchadise at all. No posters, figures, keychains...nothing to show my rabid Shannon fangirl support. Not even a halfway decent gallery of pics for me to wall him. :shady:

Anyway, long live scrapped princess fans! May it be released soon!

Can't wait until it's released. Bandai announced its licensing at the Anime-Expo 2004 in CA. Sadly, they haven't given us a approximate shelf/street date or even close. Hopefully, with it's growing popularity, it wont be long before it starts releasing on dvd. One would only assume--merchadise as well.

I sure hope so, because it's definately one of my favorite series of all time now. Oh man did I sob in the last hour or so of the show. Sitting here at my desk bawling with a box of tissues in my lap, yep. That's one thing I loved about this (and full moon, another favorite series) is that it was an emotional rollercoaster. Not a lot of shows can do that believably.

AND MY KINGDOM FOR A POSTER! Sheesh. Or a shannon figure. *drools*

RightStuf has Scrapped Princess now on their preorder listing. The release date is April 26th. Time listing for it is 75 minutes for the volume which means there will be 3 episodes per volume and overall it will be an 8 volume set.

A correction has been made on the number of episodes that the Volume 1 DVD will contain. The running time has been relisted at 100 minutes so there will be 4 episodes on it.

A bit random but I ran acorss the release date of Scrapped Princess. Animeondvd.com says that Vol. 1 will be released on 04-26-2005. It also seems they will be selling the Box art too. And yes, it'll be a 100mins.

Thought that may interest some.

yes, I saw some of this at an anime convention and had a blast. Sadly, the reason I had a blast was because the sub was so bad. It left me with some phrases ingrained in my mind which will never come out.

"Is she type of man to perish world?"

"She would be catastrouphic fountain-head"

and of course, "doggone amphibian!"

Good memorys, good memorys.

Maybe I got a different subber, but I don't remember it being THAT bad at all. I did crack up at the various moments where the characters were self-aware; i.e. they poked fun at anime stereotypes. My favorite is in the last episode where Pacifica screams "PERVERT! PERVERT!"

My sub was very bad - such is the case of Hong Kong bootlegs rather than lovingly created fansubs. ;)
