If you were being a missionary going to any anime who would you convert?

Most of the "demons" in anime aren't anywhere near the league of Lucifer, so I'd say they fall under grace (in fictional scenarios). Meanwhile, no one cares if you write lengthy posts (and I enjoy it), though paragraphing is extremely helpful.

A 'demon' in anime can be in name only. Take Ryoko for instance, in the original Tenchi Muyo she's a demon. But not a Satanic, fallen angel kind of demon, as a matter of fact, she's basically an extraterrestial human with special powers.

It depends on 'definition'.

I just started thinking about this thread. Of course, I would want to convert everyone, but one person in particular I would want to convert if I could would be Knives from Trigun. I haven't seen the entire show, but I know a lot about him. He's always made me so sad. I want him to be a good person! I see a little good in him and just want so badly to change him!

Isn't that what this thread is? Fantasy? Why shouldn't we treat the subject of fantasy with fantasy of our own?

I think the purpose is more to reveal something about the people posting (by what choice they would make) than to actually convert any one. We aren't taking this as though they are real.

*clicks on it* The link is dead. And since there is no definition, there is no such thing as fantasy! Mwahahaha!

Fruits Basket: everyone....Tohru, I wouldn't be surprised if she already is a christain....Kyo would take work but I'd try...:)
Saiyuki:everyone....
Sailor Moon:everybody including Haruka and Michiru...:)

ha! The kinds of things we think about, being Christians... It's so cool to see others having similar thoughts and stuff...because I think about this! It's hard to narrow it down. There's so many shows, so many characters...and none of them are Christians. I want to jump into most of the anime I watch and witness to someone!

Well as difficult as this may be, I'd definitly attempt Bakura....then the rest of the yugioh cast. And I would also attmept Ayame Sohma. ^_^ I'd also try and convert Fluffy-kins *Lord Sesshomaru for those of you who don't know* If I think of any others I'll add em later.

Well, you're pretty ambitious. Not necessarily impossible, though... let's convert the angels while we're at it.

Jesus paid to high a price for us to pick and choose who should come. Though y'all are talking about unreal people.

Kenshin and Vash. I would want to show them the good news that would bring healing to their souls, the promise that there is love and forgiveness for them, that a Savior died for their sins, that they don't need to carry the weight of guilt around forever.
And that this Savior will be returning to do away with this world of violence and bring about a permanent kingdom of love and peace.

It's really God who does the converting we only bring the message.

But in any case I think it be interesting to have a theological discussion with
Miroku after all he is a Buddhist monk so it be interesting to get his theological insights.
I think I'd get something like The Chronicles of Narnia for Kagome to read in her free time.

Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

My actual point was,and all kidding aside,we forget that Miroku has some sort of theological training because he is after all a member of the clergy
class.I think we forget that part of his character because he's usually showing his more carnal side, much to the chagrin of Sango.
Miroku's father and grandfather were also monks so we're talking here about someone who does have significant training in Buddhist theology.
At least he ought to know a bit more than the others who are all laypeople.
