best and worse anime from manga

So, most anime are made from manga right? But some sure can vary from paper to animation! Just, list the worst once (trail too far off than the orginal book) and the best (like moving paper!) Mostly made this to see what anime are close to the manga.

Naurto:
I swear, this is the BEST manga to anime I have seen! It's almost EXACT to what I read! The only difference was when they introduced two characters at the begining of the anime that orginally wouldn't be shown until later (Hinata and Sakura's rival).

One Piece:
Some of the episodes are jumbled up, but this one's pretty good!

Rurouni Kenshin:
Some character in the manga that aren't in the anime vice versa, but either than that it's not too bad.

Cardcaptor Sakura:
Actually, this one isn't that bad either. Couple different things, (like fewer cards in the manga) but yeah.

Chobits:
Not too too bad. Some stuff is jumbled up, and the ending is different, but overall not too bad.

Sailor Moon and Tokyo Mew Mew: Whoa! The anime is sure WAY different than the orginal manga! (especially SM!) So much random stuff is added to the anime and all... still not bad shows, but yeah.

a good example of bad manga-to-anime (in my opinion) is Full Moon wo Sagashite. the anime had too many filler episodes and watered down some of the more powerful elements of the manga's plotline.

the Fruits Basket manga and anime were pretty close. both are equally good.

in my opinion, the Kenshin manga is WAY better than the anime.

Matantei Loki Ragnarok - I love the anime, and I love the manga, but they are VERY different. Personally I preferred the roles some characters played in the anime vs. in the manga.

Tactics - the happy Tactics manga got DARK somewhere in between the manga and the anime. Not like I'm arguing - I actually like the anime a lot. I just miss all the cute sometimes. x3 At least Kantarou doesn't look like he's 14....

Escaflowne - Okay, this one went anime to manga...but seriously. What the heck? x_X;;; The manga was so painfully different it wasn't even forgivable.

Saiyuki - the episodes that were RELEVANT were very well done...I just wish there wasn't so many filler episodes. >.>;

Right, the Escaflowen went from anime to manga, which was one of the frist few to do that. But there are two mangas out and but the one that is out here in the States is the crap one and really that manga was somewhat base on what they had plan for the anime.

Escaflowne anime was originally going to be a traditional mecha shounen style anime, but in order to attract girls to the series, they decided to make the main character a girl. Added the bishounen in the series, and turning it into a mecha shoujo show.

The Hitomi with long hair and glasses, that is drawn in the manga is what the anime Hitomi was plan to look like, but they change that in pre-production and became the short hair athletic girl that we all love. But some how they wanted to use what was first plan for Hitomi to be use in the manga.

I'd read that one of the Escaflowne manga series came first and then the other one came after the series. also, one series is Shounen and the other is Shoujo. I really want to read the Escaflowne manga released here, I think it looks really cool.

Best Manga to Anime: Revolutionary Girl Utena. The manga was too short and I don't think all the characters got enough time to develop. The anime was much longer (39 episodes) and gave everyone tons of time to grow and develop. The ending was alos darker and trippier than the manga.

Worst manga to anime: Chobits: I LOVE the chobits manga, but I found the anime to be very dissapointing. It had way WAAAAAY too much filler and the stuff they did do from the manga just didn't seem to have as much impact on me as the manga did. They also changed the ending and downplayed the connection between Chobits and Angelic Layer

Best anime to manga: Evangelion: I know we aren't supposed to discuss it, so I'll just say this, the Evangelion manga is a ZILLION times better than the show! That's all.

I had also heard that, that there were two separate manga storylines, but I'm not sure when they came out in relation to the anime. I've seen one of the manga storylines, but I didn't like it. Anime=WAY better.

Oh, definitely, DEFINITELY! I watched the first three episodes of Evangelion and was like, "Meh." But then I read the manga and I was like, "Whoa, this manga ROCKS!"

Um...in my opinion, CCS is just as good in the anime as it is in the manga. Yeah, there are a few more weird cards (Rain? Gimme a break...), but overall it maintains the same tone and storyline as the manga.

Uh...as far as Fruits Basket though...I HATED the anime. The ending SUCKED, and there was WAY too much filler (note: NEVER watch the Prince Yuki Fanclub episodes, they are POINTLESS and have NO bearing on the storyline). But I love the Fruits Basket manga SO much...it's good! Way more plot development, deeper characters, and there's not so much filler. And it doesn't end in a stupid, abrupt way. Yes, the manga is about a thousand times better than the anime.

one of those Prince Yuki episodes was actually in the manga, I think. the one where they went to Hanajima's house. that other one was mostly filler though.

to me, the Furuba anime was a lot funnier in spots, but the manga does have more character development and depth. the anime is almost...supplemental to the manga. or something. I'm not sure what I'm trying to say. ^_^;

While the Azumanga Daioh animation seems to almost be the "carbon-copy" of the manga, there are some unique twists that make the animation a lot richer as opposed to the four-panel format. Jokes seem to make more sense in the animation, but it's fair to say that I like them both. The faithful transition from manga to anime is the reason why I chose Azumanga Daioh.

Though Spiral could've been better as an anime if the manga had been completed at the time the animation ended (which left many questions still hidden within the manga version)
