We got the complet collection in at hastings and it cought my eye. So I wanted to know what its like. I can probobly get it for twenty something and I want to know if its a good twenty something spent.

So is it full of fanservice and nudity?? Is there a good story to it??

I know a little about it but i want to know exactly what I'm getting inot where I to buy it. I've been avoiding renting the volume we have because it looked like another excuse for fanservice. Sexual content is not nearly as offensive to me between married partners. I know they are married, but is there a ton of sexual stuff??

I would like to know what its like. :)

I would say something about it, since I have seen some of it before I stop watching it, but I'm afraid to.

Um...should it be on the do not descuss list? Is it bad?
I don't know a whole lot about, I was just wondering. :)

I don't think it its that bad that it would be put on the do not descuss list, I think. From what I remember, its full of fanservice and and I think it nudity was maybe low for the airing on tv. But here is the catch with it, from what I seen and heard. That after they put it on dvd, they clear some stuff up. Since the anime was draw with computers and not your cel base type. They had some shower shots that had steam around areas, so that you didn't see any nudity or just a little of it. But then when they put it on dvd, they ran it back into a computer and took some of the steam out and give it more skin to look at.

Well, It hard to say. To me, the big thing is its the boy or teen or whatever level of school he was in and was married to his teacher.

Yea. I don't think I''ll get it.
I kinda got the same idea about it but I wanted to see if I was off base.

To say the truth that while watching that series it make me feel very uncomfortable due to the reason that the teacher and student relationship in that series remind me of the mirror image of what happen in my state the State of Washington in the case of Mary K. Letourneau so that make me very uncomfortable to watch.
Actually it isn't that at all. There is no shoutakon in this anime. It is established that both characters are legally able to get married in Japan (which is 18 and older for males, 16 and up for females). The reason that the male lead is 18 and a freshman in high school is because of a medical condition he has called "stagnation," in which his body goes into a coma and stops growing during this time.
This is actually symbolic of his life. His sister died and he refused to accept this. Stagnation comes on when he has to make a choice but refuses. In this series, he has to choose between the woman he chose to legally marry (See spoiler below) and the girl he likes.

The male lead discovers that the female lead is an alien. She wants to keep him silent and arranges to meet him in an out of the way place on school grounds. They are discovered together and it is believed they are having an affair. To protect her, they claim they are married and in fact get a civil marriage. In the manga and the portions of the anime I saw, it is a non-sexual relationship. This is supposed to merely be a legal cover, but feelings and jealousies set in.
The anime has more fanservice and tends to tease with "will they/won't they" sleep together. This was not in the manga, which was less crude. The manga actually seems to promote the value of family.

There is also an actual novel, but the reports I've heard tell me it has more sexual content.

I have actually seen it. It's not the best, but it's not the worst compaired to what else is out there. Fanservice.... as I re-call is moderate. I would say on the same level as Love hina. Nudity, nope. Dont remember ever seeing any. Pre-maritial sex, yep. Language, nothing over the top. OVerall story, not strong. It had an interesting story premise, but failed to deliver at the end. I didn't care much for love hina and this one didn't do much for me either. I only downloaded it because someone recommended it. ALthough I didn't care for it, there are worse series out there in terms of language and fanservice or overall theme. Though I will admit the opening theme is quite good; both energetic and easy listening.

Hmm, here's where I have to apologize to the forum. Bobtheduck wrote up an awesome review for this series a long time ago and I'm afraid that I lost it. So I'm sorry, Kenshin17 and anyone else who was curious about the series - CAA was supposed to have one and it's my fault that we don't.

Just kidding. We all forgive you. Perhaps we can dig up some other reviews from somewhere else. *Goes in search of other reviews.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Now that it finally got on netflix again, I'm going to rent it and finally be able to comment on the dub and DVD features, so I may be making another review in a couple months.

Short answer: I loved the story. The fanservice was rather strong, but in the normal series (eps 1-12) there is no nudity. The premarital sex isn't handled in the christian way but not in the normal way either... It is shown to have emotional consequences, even though not outright condemned. I didn't think the fanservice (Mostly of the "convenient camera angle" type, but a couple "I may be more powerfull if I'm showing more skin" type, as well as some "Mai's syndrome" mostly with the main female friend) was at the same level as Love hina, but that could be because Love hina was so much more hyper than Onegai Teacher, that to many people the fanservice in the quieter OTi could have a stronger effect (I.E. the fanservice scenes don't end in someone being kicked in the face). There were some cringe moments in OTi, though... It is to avoid if you're sensative to fanservice... The animation is superb, but purists won't like the fact it was made entirely on the computer... THat's the short version of my review. I was more detailed, but even I don't remember everything... I'd really have to watch it again... Next time, I'll follow the review structure a bit better.

As for other sexual content, BTW
I don't think they consumate their marriage during the course of the normal show... That's one of the plot points, that they are still essentially "courting" even though they are married.
I would strongly recommend avoiding the spinoff show, Onegai Twins... Ugh...
