Sure, I'll join the fan club. :) Sounds like fun. Although I don't know how well I'll do on trivia questions, as I've only read/seen Cardcaptor Sakura and Magic Knight Rayearth. ^^

Welcome juvey.

I just got my 2005 Sakura calender imported from Japan. It's very cool, but I'm struggleing with how to share it since it is considerably bigger then my scanner. But, I fell in love with CLAMP because of the fantastic artwork of Sakura and the calender does not disappoint!

Whoa! Where did you get the calendar at, termyt? I've been looking for those! I got one a couple years back, and the art is absolutely adorable, and they are pics that are unique--I've never seen them anywhere else. I use them as posters in my anime room now! ;)

In more serious news, Kura has been banned from CAA. He needs your prayers. I won't go into depth, but if you get the chance I'm sure he would appreciate your prayers that God goves him the strength to overcome the sin he is having difficulty with right now. Thanks.

Oh, welcom, Juvey. ^^

I will pray for Kura, though i don't know why he is banned, I hope he will be with us once again soon. ^^

I got the calender from J-List (jlist.com). They have a lot of calenders to choose from this time of year, but they also sell a ton of other Japanese goods from Poki to clothing.

I will warn you, they sell items for all, a-hem, age groups, but you can filter the items they will show you.

I wanted to buy a calendar, but 20 dollars? :( I think I'll have to wait until after Christmas and see if there are any sales. ^^

Thanks for the welcome, everyone!

Yeah. They're are a touch pricey, but they are much bigger and better constructed then your typical US calender. That and nothing's cheap in Japan, especially if you want it shipped here!

I really like Clamps art.
I enjoyed Chobits and Angelic Layer. Chobits was a bit fanservicey, which wasn't cool, but it was good overall.

I haven't seen Cardcaptors or X yet, but the art looks good from both shows!

You called it, Twilight_Kiss! December's card will be the Snow Card! ^_^

Hi Kenshin17, feel free to join the club if you'd like. We'd love to welcome you in! CCS is a wonderful series. I'd highly recommend watching it (but watch the original Japanese version--the US version was majorly edited) if you get the chance!

Yeah, as termyt said, the calandars are beautiful. You can turnb each page into a poster after you're done, so it's like buying six or seven posters too! I'd much rather spend $20 on a beautiful Japanese calendar (if the quality is similar to the one I bought previously) than on a DVD.

Today I read the 3rd volumes of XXXHolics and Tsubasa. Needless to say, they ROCKED!.

XXXHolics 3 wasn't as cool as volume 2, but it still had some good stories. The conflict between Domeki and Watanuki is hilarious, and Mokona was funny, as always. The two stories in this volume were pretty creepy and interesting. I can't wait for more of the main story to be revealed. I get the feeling that there is some bigger role for the hero to play.

"Watanuki really is a good kid. Both you and I knew it, didn't we...Clow?" ^_^.

Tsubasa 3 was WAAAY cool. A small tidbit, it looks like the apartment where Arashi and Sorata live in the Hanshin Republic is the same one that Hideki and Chi live in in the main CLAMP-verse. In this volume Syaoran-tachi ends up in "Chun Hyang" world for a crossover with "the Legend of Chun Hyang". What a coincidence that I just read that manga too ^^. And is it just me or is that crazy sorceress lady really Lady Debonair from the MKR2 anime? I guess CLAMP watches the anime for their series ^^. The action was realy cool in this volume. Syaoran could really give Neo a run for his money, judging from some of his moves in this volume. Tsubasa is quickly becoming one of my favorite manga series. I can't wait for the anime series!

AHHH, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SPIRIT_WOLF!!! ^_____^ *hug* Am I too late for cake? ._.

I hope you had a wonderful day!

And, thanks Kokoro for making those. You are such a sweetheart. ^__^ *hug*

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

So, this is the Sakura and Clamp fan thread. *looks around* Cool place you've got here. ^^
Before I found Tsubasa and xxxHolic, I didn't really read much Clamp, but now that I have read them I can't wait for the next volumes to come out. *sigh* In February...
Here are some Tsubasa pics and an xxxHolic one.

I just got the newest issue of Animerica in the mail yesterday and in the "best of 2004" section they gave an award to Tsubasa!. It got the "Best Attempt to One-Up a 1970s Marvel Comic", because of all the crossovers. YAY! CLAMP shall conquer the world!

Really, that's awesome! ^^ I love Tsubasa, especially it's crossovers. ^^ Yay! btw, how do you subscribe to Animerica anyways, and is it really good? Because I've been wanting to subscribe to one of the anime magazines, but I can't decide which one is better.

I bought a copy from a store and then sent in the registration card that comes with it. But I would suggest subscribing to Anime Insider, I think they are better than Animerica. The Animerica staff is kind of serious, Anime Insider has a lot more humorous stuff, like the "random anime character vs random anime character" segments they do in every issue.

I'm not sure which but either the next issue of Anime Insider or the next issue of New Type is going to have an article on CLAMP. Must find it!!!
