uhh-- newbie here

Postby snapdragon76 » Tue Nov 23, 2004 12:09 pm

Hi. I just joined this forum. I'm really happy I found a place like this since I am both a Christian and and anime fan. I hope to eventually figure out how to use an avatar since I'm used to using only 100x100 ones. I have to make a new one just for here!

Quick list of fandoms:

Trigun
Rurouni Kenshin
InuYasha
Hellsing
Fruits Basket
Mars
Samurai Deeper Kyo
Immortal Rain
Witch Hunter Robin
Wolf's Rain
Cowboy Beebop

Have I left any out?

Well, I read a little bit, then I dropped it after 9 volumes. I just couldn't follow it anymore.

You find that you have a weapon, an instrument that
will give you power over the wind and sea.
In one word, you can stop time. It is a weapon
so powerful that even God will bow
down to you and all his angels fall at your feet.
What would you do with it?

"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things... hey... the good things don't always soften the bad things; but vice-versa the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant." -11th Doctor

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close

Thanks to everyone who made me feel welcome! I hope to indeed have much fun posting. Now, I must try and figure out how to make a 90x90 avatar. All the one's I have are bigger.

You could try resizing your avatar using any image editing program. :) Just stretch skew it until it's the right size. Do it by 90% on both the height and the width and it will then be 90x90. That's how i made my Avatar actually. Cut out a part of a Wallpaper and then resized that part until it was the right size. :)

Of course oldphil's idea could also work.

Anyway, welcome to CAA. I hope you have lots oif fun here and post lots. :)
