Rurouni Kenshin OVAS

SADNESS! *bawls*

I didn't see Reflections yet, but Trust and Betrayal...they...they...WAAAAAAHHH!

[SPOILER]
When Battousai was fighting all those people to get to Tomoe...and he was nearly fainting...and he said, "We...will go...to Otsu." Then he was having all those weird flashbacks, and he swung his sword, and saw that Tomoe had sacrificed herself to save his life...and she fell back into his arms and gave him the cross-scar and then died. And then he starts sobbing....:waah!:

If he hadn't started crying, I don't think I would have either, but...:waah!:

And it was his fault... *cries*

Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

I love how Tomoe gives the second scar to him. So much meaning in one little action.

Trust & Betreyal is my favourite of the OVA's. its storyline was top notch, was moving, darker than the series, with stunning fight scenes, and explains the back-story to kenshin, i love that OVA.

Does Samurai X take place before or after RuroKen?

It is really cool. :thumb:

That's me locked inside reality's maze
Come someone make my heavy heart light
Come undone, bring me back to life
It all starts with a lullaby

I was going to get Samurai X on DVD, but then I saw that it had a suggested age of 17+. other than the obvious blood shed, why is it rated that?

The beggining and end are extremely violent, though in the middle it's pretty slow.

The gore is mainly for realism, Samurai X is not at all ment to be just a mindless hack and slash bloodfest, there is a very moving and well told story within. Akira Kurosawa fans will love this OVA to death.....
