Hey...

Postby Android raptor » Mon Nov 15, 2004 6:10 pm

Hello, I'm new, and I do hope that I right in that you don't have to be Christian to join this. I would like to make it clear that I am not Christian, I am Aetheist, and I am a yaoi fan. You all may be wondering why I am joining then. Well, the reason is that 1.I am an anime fan, 2. I want to better educate (read educate, not convert) people on my beliefs, I want them to know that I am NOT a devil worshiper, etc, and 3. I might want to educate myself on your beliefs so I can learn to respect everyone around me.

I don't want anyone to try to convert me, cause' I believe that EVERYONE has the right to believe whatever they want, and I will make no attempt to convert any of you. And, as far as me liking yaoi, if you guys find it offensive, I won't talk about it...

Yo, Android raptor. Doozo yoroshiku. No, you don't have to be a Christian to join CAA, but you do need to be respectful of our beliefs. Check the FAQ [HERE] regarding this. We're an open-minded group, and we won't try to convert those who don't wish to be. Good to have you here.

welcome. we don't mind non-Christians hanging out as long as you're respectful about things. outright theological debates aren't allowed, but asking questions and such is fine. also, yaoi is a no-no :\

nevertheless, I hope you like it here. :]

Welcome aboard, android raptor (is that a name or a class?) Anyway, I hope you enjoy it here. I'm sure you will respect our rules, so there should be no problem with you adding your two-cents as long as you aren't argumentative. I look forward to your opinions.

Yeah, I'm not going to debate theology here. Heck, I don't know of ANY board that allows such a controversial debate. And I also think that everyone should have all kinds of friends, and that is part of the reason I joined this. However, I do disagree with your feelings about yaoi and the like (hope I don't offend anyone). I believe that eveyone is born equal, and that no one is better than anyone. A teacher of mine (who was Christian, btw) said that she has all kinds of friends, straight, gay, Christian, Jew, white, black, etc, and that they where all wonderful people. I also believe that everyone has to tolerate people, no matter what they are. They don't have to like what they do, but they still have to respect them because they are people with hopes and dreams too. Well, that's my two cents...

We may have got off on the wrong foot in the other thread, so here...

Welcome to the Nuthouse.

I think sunako hit the nail pretty squarely on the head when she suggested you check out the FAQ. Please remember that the rules of our board are not intended to "build a wall around us so that we don't have to experience the world." Rather, we try to create an environment where our members can escape a lot of the other garbage on the net. (Net-full ofgarbage would be a great name for a band, btw.)

We actually do have a few people floating around who have radically different views than the rest, but we actively discourage debate (for the purpose of the above "stronghold" point) so everyone, somewhat surprisingly for most newbies, tends to get along well with each other.

I myself dislike quite nearly every other board, but this one has a real sense of fellowship/comraderie that I find sorta addicting.

LOL, that WOULD be a good name for a band! Anyway, I'm sorry too if we got off on the wrong foot. I hope it doesn't happen again.
