Konnichiwa minna!

Postby Jeikobu » Wed Nov 03, 2004 9:09 pm

I registered yesterday, when I found the link from a guy at the AnimeNation forums. I immediately became excited knowing that there's actually a forum aimed directly at Christian anime fans like me. The review section has been very helpful (still several anime I have questions on though), and the forums look great. I hope to be able to have alot of fun talking about anime and Chrisitanity both with all of you! Ja ne! ^^

AOI-CHAN!

*Glomps Aoi-chan*

I hope Hotaru-chan didn't see that.

Oh yeah, welcome. Have fun here! It's a great place, no doubt about that!

I take it you're a Pokemon fan? I don't much care for the anime myself...electric attacks CAN'T harm ground types! Grr...stupid yellow rat...but, anyway, I really like the Pokemon games.

I also like Ai Yori Aoshi, if ya couldn't tell. Well, get out there and post my friend!

Vash is easily one of my favorite anime characters ever. He's just awesome. He has unreal combat skills, and can be as tough and serious as anyone, then he can be a clutsy, humourous person in an instant. He's the funniest character I've ever seen I think.

lol! Funny smily!

My favorite thing though about Vash for sure is his morals. He understands the value life has, and tries to preserve it.

Welcome aboard, Jeikobu. I'm an Ai Yori Aoshi fan, too. I thought it was a cool, cleaner look at the "typical" harem anime genre.

Anyway, you said you still have questions on certain anime? Might I suggest you peruse the Anime forum for the answers and if you can’t find them easily there, start your own thread to ask your questions. We have fans of just about every sort here who I’m sure can answer any questions you have.

I unfortunately don't know much Japanese yet at all. :red: That's a greeting right? I know doozo is a form of please basically, like if someone knocked on my door, saying "Hai, doozo" would be like saying "Yes, please come in" or if I held the door for someone going into a place, saying doozo would be like "after you". But I'm not as sure about yoroshiku. ^^;

Hi and welcome Jeikobu! ^___^ Here's a question, how did you choose your username, Jeikobu?

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Jeikobu is Jacob (my real first name) in Japanese. I didn't want to support just one thing I like in my username (like if I named myself Hitokage in support of Pokemon, or Patrick Roy in support of hockey), so I figured I'd leave in in simple terms by just going by my real name, but in Japanese, as I am very Japanese at heart! ^^
