Greetings all!
I just found this website and thought it looked interesting. I am a missionary kid who grew up in Japan and recently returned to America and thought that I would get to know the American people better, so feel free to ask questions or just talk with me, or simply check out my bio on the Who's who page.

I might get to go on a study abroad program to Japan during the summer so I'm gonna try my best to learn as much Japanese as I can. So how is it over there in Japan at this time of the year? oh hey cool you sometimes live in Dallas, I live in Houston

It is one of the most beautiful times of the year. If the rain has been good then the flowers will have reached their full bloom by now and will be beginning to die off. It is truly a physical example of the greatness of God.

Hello, and welcome! *offers handshake* Where have you done most of your missionary work? In Japan or America or elsewhere?

Hope you enjoy your stay and have fun here!

To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

So you're a missionary from Japan to the American people? That's really cool! I always wondered why we were always sending missionaries out to everyone like we didn't need missionaries. Heaven knows we certainly do! Anyway, I'd like to be a missionary some day. Are you going on your own or with MCC or something like that? Well, I'll probably have more questions later, but I don't want to overload you with lots of stuff so soon. So, in conclusion, welcome, brother.

Sorry if it confused anyone, but I am a missionary TO Japan not FROM it. I have been a missionary kid in Japan for most of my life. My father teaches at Tokyo University, so we have a home there and a larger ancient style home in Kyoto, and an extremely nice vacation house on Okinawa Island. For super in depth stuff, just read my bio on the Who's Who page.

See? You said you were a missionary FROM japan in your original post in this thread and now you tell us you're a missionary TO Japan? Lol! I'm just teasing. We all make mistakes.

I've already seen you on my rate others avatar and sig thread, but as this is your welcome thread i thought id welcome you on here. So um welcome. I hope you have lots of fun here.

Hi and welcome, Spike! ^___^

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

You are a missionary from Japan? That is very interesting! I have done some research about the history of Christianity in Japan! How is life in Japan? I hope you enjoy Christian Anime Alliance! There are many interesting things about this site as well. I hope you will stay. God bless

Life in Japan is very different to say the least. The only way to truly understand it is to visit for yourself one day. I love this site! It is extremely refreshing to know that someone is making an effort to get Christians together under a common bond of some sort.

Welcome to the board. Have fun and post alot.

There is one questions that I have to ask.

Do most people in Japan know english? I have been wondering this, since US and Japan has alot of dealings with each other.

Students in Japan are required to take an English class in school, but it is mostly grammar and composition so they do not speak English very well at first, but they catch on fast.
