My favorite anime music is pretty much every song on from Initial D. Listening to the Super Eurobeat stuff just makes you want to go out and drive. Never has racing been put to music better. I love that stuff and can't get enough of it.

As far as openings/endings go:
1. "Alchemy of Love"-----------Tenchi Muyo In Love ending theme. Awesome song.
2. "Gamble Rumble"------------Initial D 3rd Stage the Movie Opening
3. "Blazin' Beat"-----------------Initial D 2nd Stage Opening
4. Song from G Gundam-------the one Cartoon Network played
5. "Love will leave you cryin'"-Tenchi Universe Opening. A great song for the heartbroken.
6. Transformers Armada Opening
7. Tenchi Muyo Opening
8. Speed Racer opening (the one from the remake they did in the 90's, not the one from the 50's) Goes something like this:
Go Speed Go!
Let that Mach 5 Thunder roll!
You've got the power Speed Racer, let it show!
Go Speed go, Go speed go.

My all-time favorite themes would have to be the opening to Fruits Basket, the opening to Dual!, the second closing of Sailor Moon SuperS, the opening for Sailor Moon Stars, and both themes from Azumanga Daioh. I'm enjoying the Gundam Seed and Master Keaton themes, although I can't really say if they're among my faves yet.

The InuYasha themes are, of course, in a class of their own, above all others, but since so many have mentioned them, I avoided doing so.

I love everything in Noir, and the openings to Fushigi Yugi, Onegai Twins and Kodomo no Omocha, stuff from Rurouni Kenshin, FMP, the closing to Tokyo Underground, and more! I also think Haibane Renmei and the first episode of Kanon have such sweet-sounding and tear-enducing openings.

Kura Ookami wrote:As for a single song it's very difficult to choose one because all of the music in Noir is excellent, but i found that the song in the sexond half of episode 21 really affects me. That one is really beutiful and is probably my favorate. Unfortunutly i don't know what the name of the song isDoes anyone know?

Oh, what a perfect excuse to rewatch one of my favorite episodes...to help you out, of course.

I love "My Will", "Dearest", "Fukai Mori", and "Farewell for Tomorrow's Sake" from InuYasha. Actually I only have the lyrics for "Farewell for Tomorrow's Sake", but I'm trying to somehow hear it...

Actually My Will is my favorite song...ever. (Does anyone have the full version?)
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

[Pink Floyd fan listening to Queen and hugging trees which is also known as taking care of God's creation with a pair of headphones on listening to Nightwish as loud as possible while writing a novel on a computer in the middle of a field filled with Wolves.]

I'm glad to have your support. :) It really is a good song. I wonder if i can find out the name on a Noir site. Hmm. I'll have to go see and if i find the name I'll post it here.

One I really like is Jin Lin (something like that) from Spriggan the movie. I don't understand most of it, but it so cool in a creepy, freaky sorta way that I just love it!

Too many to mention. I've been thinking a while, and new ones keep popping up. I like Cowboy Beebop's opening. Gunsmith Cats, Vandread, Bubblegum Crisis, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone COmplex, .hack had great music through out the entire series and so did Trigun. So much good music, my anime soundtrack collection is almost as large as my anime collection.

I think my favorite opening song is "Freckles" from Rurouni Kenshin.
"I've learned when you throw mud at others, not only do you get your hands dirty, but you also lose a lot of ground." Ravi Zacharias
"Pride grows in the human heart like lard on a pig." Aleksander Solzhenitzen (so call me on it)
"Zeal without knowledge can lead to chaos." - Bob Rohm
"Why don't we love his truth as much as we seem to love his love?"- Cross Movement, in their song "Check us Out"

favorite anime music

Postby Mr. SmartyPants » Sat Oct 09, 2004 10:39 pm

there was one thread like this in "jam session" that was 3 months old, and I did not know wether to post in that one, or make a new one. So, i've decided to make a new one. (If I wasn't supposed to do that, a mod can lock this)

What is your favorite anime music? Mine must be:

Sobakasu (Freckles) from Rurouni Kenshin (The Japanese one)
Kanashimi wo Yasashisa Ni - From Naruto (3rd opener)
Wind - Naruto's first ending
Full Metal Alchemist's first ending. I don't remember the name but I really liked it.
Ready Steady Go - By L'arc~en~ceil, FMA's second opener
The Chobits opener - it's really cute
Tsukorimashou - From Azumanga Daioh's Chiyo-chan sing's it, and it's really funny.

Technically this could be a Jam Session thread, but I guess it's ok to stay here too.

Eternal Snow: Route L version-- Full Moon wo Sagashite
Eternal Snow- Piano Swing version-- Full Moon wo Sagashite
Just Communication-- Gundam Wing
Rythem Emotion-- Gundam Wing
True Light- DNAngel Opening
For Fruits Basket--Fruits Basket (Opening ?)
I don't know the title, but the fruits basket ending
Hideki no Umi--Record of Lodoss War Opening
Simple and Clean: PlantiB Mix--Kingdom Hearts (I know it's not technically anime, but same sort of category right?)

I think that's about it. I'm not a big JPop/Rock fan, actually, (though I really like some of the piano/instrumental themes of some songs.)

I'd have to say I'm pretty partial to the Trigun, Gungrave, and Armitage 3 (Dual+Poly Matrix) soundtracks. They are all really awesome. Cowboy Bebop and Rurouni Kenshin have great songs to, as well as Jin-Roh and Geobreeders (lmbo @ Dynamite Mambo!)
