The tale of the wanderer

Postby Kura Ookami » Sat Sep 25, 2004 11:39 am

I think im more sinful than most people here and definately not as close to God. I dont really read the bible much though i will try to read it more. The primary reason for my not reading it is i found it boring to read. From start to finish isnt the best way to read the bible ive realised. As i said in my introduction i do like hentai. Maybe it's a bad havit of mine and perhaps when im closer to God ill five it up completely. Only time will tell.

I think i must have many many misconceptions about christianity. Thanks for showing me one thing i had a misconception about cbwing0. I've done a little researcg on most religions, but i always seem to come back to christianity for some reason. Yes there was one time when i did research on even satanism. That religion pretty much scared me the most out of all the religions and my gut instinct told me to keep away from that.

I believe that God has led me to christianity and now to this board. I'm guilty of quite a few sins, but i want to be saved by Jesus and not go to hell like i deserve. However, Satan is a powwerful adversary and I ccannot see how i can ever defeat him and ive read that you must defeat the devil to be saved. I guess i have been a bit of a wanderer never staying with any one religion for too long. I believe each of us is blessed with free will but God is always there to guide us in the right direction no matter where we go.

Well, here's some facts about me. My real name is James and i'm 20 with so many questions about life and what my purpose is. I enjoy watching all kinds of anime, writing, reading, playing video games. I live in the united kingdom in the southwest.

If i tried to list every anime ive seen id be here for a while, but my favorate thing in anime is action. Okay ill list some of the best anime ive seen: Excel saga, noir, full metal panic, Shadowskill, Najica, rahxephon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, cowboy bebop the movie. Well thats all i can think of right now and font worry i havent included any hentais in that list. Well theres more animes there than in my intro so what do you guys think of those animes?

Wow this post has gotten quite long but i wanted to tell you aa much as i could about myself. I'd like to thank everyone for their welcomes. I do feel like part of a family here even though i was honest in my introduction about liking hentai. I was tempted to not say anything about that, but im glad i did. Lol! I've been babbling on for long enough now. :) So there you have it. A little of my history.

well sense you name is James here is a few from james

james 4
7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

it is not you who should be fighting the devil it is the Lord put it in his hands. i will also say that the key to a great relationship with God is submition to HIm, His will, His life. Give it all up put it in His hands.

James 2
8If you really keep the royal law found in Scripture, "Love your neighbor as yourself," you are doing right. 9But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. 10For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. 11For he who said, "Do not commit adultery," also said, "Do not murder." If you do not commit adultery but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker.

well all are lawbreakers that is not what maters once again its submiting to the Lord's hand working in your life. for our old self is sin but our new self is born of righteousness. God is the one who changes us not us. but it is only by submitting to Him that He can do anything.

i will be praying for you bro :thumb:
I used to "Follow" Him because i had to....now i would give everything to follow Him.

Me check it out!

Hey, Kura, can i call you that for short? Here's something to help you out: Romans 3:23 says, "for ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Now just because we may seem closer to God doesn't make us better than you.

When I was younger I tried to read the whole Bible through and I also thought it was boring and not worth my time and energy. Try reading the Bible in a year or something simple like reading the New Testament in a couple of months. Find a good Bible story and start with that or something.

You don't have to defeat the devil to be saved. Jesus already defeated him when He died on the cross and rose again! ^_^ Isn't that great? Jesus took the keys to death, hell, and the grave and Satan is already defeated and he is under our feet! We have overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony! (see Revelation 12:11)
What can really help you is if you get plugged in to a local church--a good church.
God bless and if you have any more questions, feel free to ask and hopefully I can answer 'em. ^_^
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone
And so hold on when there is nothing left in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' ...you'll be a Man, my son!

Don't be afraid Kura. Liking hentai won't get you tossed out or treated with disgust. I welcome you here knowing all of that and I hope we can be of some use to God in His purpose for you. Stay open minded and listen to us and to God and your purpose will become clearer.

Best wishes,
termyt.

Everyone's fallen short in any number of ways, and though you say you're sinful, everyone else here is too. There's no "more or less sinful" in God's eyes -- we all fall short. Fortunately, He loves us all regardless.

Speaking more specifically, we're not going to toss people out for admitting that they found hentai seductive. Unfortunately, we will always be attracted to certain kinds of sins, even though we resist them (Paul explains this very well). All that we *do* ask is that in your struggles, don't cause others to sin. So far, you've not only *not* done that, but you've also been honest with your attempts to improve, and I think that's commendable. Ask for God's help, and He'll draw near. We're also here as well.

well, it's good that you're hear! We accept all people here!

and shooey's right! All sins are bad in God's eyes, some aren't better or worse than others. Sin is sin to God

I'm so glad to have so many people here to support me and help me get back up when i fall. I'm really enjoying being here and everyone is respectful and friendly. I'm sorry to have been part of the reason Vyse got angry as he did use my thread to support what he said. I don't regret asking the qyestuin itself. Asking it really taught me a few important things and cleared up some of my misconceptions about christianity and God. Thanks to everyone who replied to that thread.

Sure you can call me kura, ssjjvash and anyone who wants to. It's all cool. I onlt wish i had found this great site earlier in my life, but God always has His reasons for things happening when they do. I'm learning alot from this site even though i havent been here for that long. Iy's great that there's so many people here all serving the same caring loving God. A true testimony to the good of christianity.

Well, i cant think of anything to say about myself right now so why doesnt everyone ask me some questions about myself and ill do my best to answer every one of them. I hope i can grow even more spiriyuallu from being part of CAA.

1 Corinthians 10:13 - No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

That's one of my favorite verses. It helps me to remember that when I'm going through tough times. I know you're struggling a lot, but God will help you through it. We're behind you too, so you don't have to walk alone. I know you'll make it through just fine, my friend. :) I'll be praying for you!

Life is not about us using God for our purposes, but about Him using us for His purposes.

Faith is not creating a false reality, but acknowledging God's promises for us.

The dreams I dream for you
Are deeper than the ones your clinging to
Let the old dreams die
Like stars that fade from view
And take the cup I offer
And drink deeply of the dreams I dream for you
